1. Introducció

1.2 Components i controls

The diagnostic system primarily consists of two main components: the display tablet and the VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface) device.

3.7 Vehicle Connection Preparation

1. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is OFF and the battery voltage està entre 9-14V.
2. Locate the vehicle's DLC (Data Link Connector). For most passenger cars, it's typically within 12 inches of the instrument panel, under or around the driver's side. Refer to the vehicle's service manual if you cannot find it.

Use the included diagnostic cable (HDB15F to HDB15F data cable + HD15M to OBDII 16 adaptor) to connect the VCI to the vehicle's DLC port.

3.8.2 Non-OBD II Vehicle Connection

For vehicles not equipped with an OBD II system, you may need to use a specific adaptor from the non-16pin adaptor kit (if included or purchased separately). Replace the HD15M to OBDII 16 adaptor with the appropriate non-16pin adaptor.

Nota: If the DLC pin is damaged or has insufficient power, you can power the VCI via a battery clamps cable or cigarette lighter cable (not included).

Once connected, turn the vehicle's ignition ON (engine OFF). The tool is now ready for diagnostics.

To use Intelligent Diagnose:

• VIN SCAN: Quickly scan the VIN using the camera or input it manually.
• Selecting a diagnostic software logo and following on-screen instructions.

Diagnostic Toolbar Buttons:

• The tool is a sealed unit with no user-serviceable parts inside. All internal repairs must be performed by an authorized repair facility or qualified technician.
• Keep the tool away from magnetic devices, as their radiation can damage the screen and erase stored data.

After resetting the tablet:

1. Launch the browser. The default official Launch website (www.x431.com) should open.
2. Tap "Login", input your username and password, then tap "Log In."
3. Ensure the serial number is correct, tap "APP application program" and then the Download icon.
4. After download, follow on-screen instructions to install.
5. After installation, log in with your existing username and password to download diagnostic software from the update center.

6.5 What to do if the language of vehicle diagnostic software does not match the system language?

English is the default system language. After setting your preferred system language, go to the update center to download the vehicle diagnostic software in the corresponding language. If the downloaded software is still in English, it indicates that the software for your chosen language is under development.

6.6 How to retrieve the login password?

1. Tap the application icon on the home screen.

LAUNCH® electronic products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for one year (12 months) from the date of delivery to the user. This warranty is limited to persons who purchase LAUNCH® products for resale or use in the ordinary course of business.

This warranty does not cover parts that have been abused, altered, used for unintended purposes, or used inconsistently with instructions. The exclusive remedy for any defective automotive meter is repair or replacement. LAUNCH is not liable for consequential or incidental damages.

Final determination of defects will be made by LAUNCH according to stipulated procedures.
