1. Introducció
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the proper use and maintenance of your Brother PT-1600 P-Touch Label Maker. 4. Configuració
4.1. Instal·lació de la bateria
- Ensure the label maker is turned off.
- Localitzeu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria a la part posterior de la unitat.
- Feu lliscar la coberta en la direcció indicada per la fletxa.
- Insert six (6) AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as marked inside the compartment.
- Torneu a col·locar la tapa del compartiment de la bateria fins que sentiu un clic i quedi ben fixada al seu lloc.

4.2. Instal·lació de cassets de cinta
- Ensure the label maker is turned off.
- Open the tape cassette cover, typically located on the top or side of the unit.
- Insert a Brother TZ tape cassette firmly into the compartment, ensuring the tape end feeds into the tape guide.
- Close the tape cassette cover until it clicks.
- Premeu el botó Feed/Cut button (if available) to advance a small amount of tape and ensure it is loaded correctly.

4.3. Encès / apagat
- Per encendre: premeu la tecla Poder botó. La pantalla s'il·luminarà.
- Per apagar: premeu la tecla Poder button again. The display will turn off. The device may also have an auto-power off feature to conserve battery life.
5. Instruccions de funcionament
5.1. Creació bàsica d'etiquetes
- Introduïu text: Use the ABCD keyboard to type your desired label text. The display shows up to 15 characters across 2 lines.
- Adjust Font Size/Style: Utilitza el Mida i Estil buttons to select from various font sizes and styles. The PT-1600 supports multiple type sizes and styles.
- Add Symbols: Premeu el botó Símbol button to access built-in symbols, including telecom and data symbols.
- Rotate Text: Utilize the rotated text feature for specialized labeling needs, such as for cable wraps.

5.2. Impressió d'etiquetes
- After composing your label, press the Imprimeix botó.
- The label maker will print the label and advance the tape.
- Wait for the tape advancement to pause completely before operating the cutter.
5.3. Using the Cutter
- Once printing is complete and the tape has advanced, push the cutter lever (usually located on the side of the tape exit slot) to cut the label.
- Important: Always wait for the label maker to finish advancing the tape before cutting. Premature cutting can lead to a "Cutter Error" and may require reprinting.
5.4. Funcions avançades

6. Manteniment

- Turn off the label maker and remove the tape cassette.
- Gently wipe the print head with a dry cotton swab. Do not use alcohol or other solvents.
- Alternatively, use a Brother print head cleaning cassette (sold separately) if available for your model.

6.2. Cleaning the Tape Cutter
- Turn off the label maker and remove the tape cassette.
- Use the provided separator stick or a similar non-sharp, thin tool to carefully remove any adhesive residue or tape fragments from the cutter blade area.
- Exercise extreme caution as the blade is sharp.
