1. Introducció
The Tetra Whisper 10i Internal Filter is designed for aquariums ranging from 5 to 10 gallons, providing quiet and convenient 3-stage filtration. This submersible filter is engineered to mount inside your aquarium, allowing for flush placement against a wall and easy concealment within tank decor.
It integrates an air pump to facilitate water movement through the filter, ensuring efficient filtration and oxygenation of your aquarium water. The system utilizes Ultra-Activated carbon for odor and discoloration absorption, and a dual-sided mesh Bio-Bag Filter to trap debris and fish waste.

2. Contingut del paquet

3. Instruccions de configuració
Follow these steps to properly set up your Tetra Whisper Internal Power Filter:
- Prepareu el filtre: Ensure the filter unit is clean and free of any packaging materials. Insert the medium Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag Filter Cartridge into the designated slot within the filter unit.
- Attach Mounting Clip: Securely attach the provided mounting clip to the back of the filter unit.
- Posició a l'aquari: Place the filter unit inside your aquarium. The filter is designed to be fully submersible. Use the mounting clip to attach the filter to the inside wall of the aquarium. Position it so that the top edge of the filter is approximately 2 inches below the rim of the tank to prevent overflow. The filter can be adjusted to high or low water levels.
- Connect Air Pump: Connect one end of the 2-foot airline tubing to the air pump. Connect the other end of the airline tubing to the air intake port on the top of the filter unit.
- Encès: Once the filter is securely positioned and the airline tubing is connected, plug the air pump into a suitable electrical outlet. The filter will begin to operate, drawing water through the filtration media and releasing oxygenated water back into the tank.

4. Funcionament
The Tetra Whisper Internal Power Filter provides continuous 3-stage filtration for your aquarium:
- Filtració mecànica: The dual-sided mesh of the Bio-Bag Filter traps physical debris and fish waste, keeping the water clear.
- Filtració química: Ultra-Activated carbon within the Bio-Bag absorbs odors, discoloration, and impurities from the water.
- Filtració biològica: Beneficial bacteria colonize the filter media, converting harmful ammonia and nitrites into less toxic nitrates.
The air-driven design allows the filter to process up to 80 gallons per hour (GPH) while simultaneously oxygenating the water, which is crucial for the health of your aquatic inhabitants. The submersible pump ensures that the filter never loses its prime, even after a power interruption, automatically restarting when power is restored.

Regular maintenance is essential for optimal filter performance and water quality.

The Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag Filter Cartridge should be changed monthly to maintain effective filtration. The design allows for easy replacement without disturbing the filter unit's position or your hands getting fully submerged in the tank water.
- Unplug the air pump from the electrical outlet.
- Gently lift the used Bio-Bag Filter Cartridge from the filter unit. The top edge of the pad is above the water line, making it easy to grasp.
- Discard the old cartridge responsibly.
- Insert a new medium Tetra Whisper Bio-Bag Filter Cartridge into the filter unit.
- Plug the air pump back into the electrical outlet.
Neteja de l'impulsor
It is recommended to clean the impeller yearly, or if you notice a decrease in water flow or unusual noises. Debris or gunk can accumulate around the impeller, affecting its operation.
- Unplug the air pump from the electrical outlet.
- Remove the filter unit from the aquarium.
- Carefully detach the bottom section of the filter unit to expose the impeller.
- Remove the impeller and clean it thoroughly with a small brush under running water. Also clean the impeller housing.
- Reassemble the impeller and the filter unit.
- Place the filter back in the aquarium and plug in the air pump.
