Preparation (Setup)

Proper surface preparation is crucial for optimal results.

1. Ensure the wood surface is dry and free from old finishes in poor condition, paint, wax, grease, polish, dirt, or other foreign matter.

3. Allow the first coat to dry for 4-6 hours.
4. For floor projects or if a smoother finish is desired, lightly sand the dried first coat with 220-grit sandpaper or an equivalent grit pad/screen (specifically designed for sanding between coats). Do not use belt or drum sanders for this step. Remove all sanding dust with a damp tela.
5. Apply a second thin coat. If a third coat is desired, repeat the sanding step (step 4) before applying the final coat.

Drying and Curing (Maintenance)

Full cure time may vary depending on environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity. Avoid heavy use or placing heavy objects on the surface until the finish is fully cured.

Clean finished surfaces with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth.
