Introducció

This manual provides instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Model BVMC-CHX23-1-RB. Please read all instructions before use and retain for future reference. This coffeemaker is designed to brew up to 12 cups of coffee and features a programmable timer, automatic pause function, and a water filtration system.

Configuració

1. Desembalar: Traieu amb cura tots els materials d'embalatge i les etiquetes de la cafetera.
2. Neteja: Before first use, wash the carafe and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Cicle de neteja inicial: Fill the water reservoir to the 12-cup mark with clean water. Place an empty paper filter (or the reusable filter) into the filter basket. Run a full brew cycle without coffee grounds. Discard the water and repeat once more. This cleans the internal components.
4. Posició: Place the coffeemaker on a flat, stable surface. Use the cord storage to manage excess cord length.

Instruccions de funcionament

Configuració del rellotge

1. Plug the coffeemaker into an electrical outlet. The digital display will flash.
2. Premeu el botó HORA button until the correct hour is displayed. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator.
3. Premeu el botó MIN fins que es mostri el minut correcte.

Elaboració de cafè

1. Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water using the glass carafe. The dual water window allows visibility as you fill. Do not exceed the 12-cup MAX fill line.
2. Place a 10-12 cup basket-style paper filter or the reusable filter into the filter basket.
3. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of coffee per cup. Adjust to taste.

7. The Grab-A-Cup Auto Pause feature allows you to temporarily remove the carafe during the brewing cycle to pour a cup of coffee. Replace the carafe within 30 seconds to prevent overflow.
8. Once brewing is complete, the coffeemaker will automatically keep the coffee warm for 2 hours, then shut off.

Using Delay Brew

The Delay Brew timer allows you to set the coffeemaker to start brewing at a later time.

1. Prepare the coffeemaker for brewing as described in steps 1-5 of "Brewing Coffee".

Manteniment i Neteja

Neteja diària

1. Always unplug the coffeemaker before cleaning and allow it to cool completely.
2. Wash the glass carafe and filter basket in warm, soapy water. These parts are also top-rack dishwasher safe.
3. Netegeu l'exterior de la cafetera amb un drap suau i secamp tela. No utilitzeu netejadors abrasius ni fregalls.
4. No submergiu la base de la cafetera en aigua ni en cap altre líquid.

Descalcificació (desincrustació)

Mineral deposits (calcium and lime) can build up in your coffeemaker and affect its performance. Decalcify your coffeemaker every 80 brew cycles or every 3 months, whichever comes first.

1. Pour 4 cups of undiluted white household vinegar into the water reservoir.
2. Place an empty paper filter (or the reusable filter) into the filter basket.

4. Turn the coffeemaker ON and allow half of the vinegar solution to brew into the carafe.
5. Turn the coffeemaker OFF and let it soak for at least 30 minutes.
6. Turn the coffeemaker ON again and brew the remaining vinegar solution into the carafe.

8. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, clean water and run a full brew cycle to rinse the coffeemaker. Repeat this rinsing cycle two more times.
