Mount the transformer in a suitable outdoor location, ensuring it is not submerged in water. The black polymeric enclosure is designed to resist corrosion. Securely fasten the unit to a stable surface, such as a wall.

Calculating Voltage Gota

Voltage drop can affect lamp brightness, especially over longer wire runs. To minimize voltage drop and maximize light output, keep wire runs as short as possible. Use the following equation to calculate voltage drop for your system:

A (length of wire in feet) x B (total watts for all lamps on that wire run) = C (cable constant)

Cable Constants by Wire Gauge:

• 10 gauge: 11920
• 12 gauge: 7500 (Maximum 250 watts or 200 feet)
• 14 gauge: 3500 (Maximum 200 watts or 150 feet)
• 16 gauge: 2200 (Maximum 150 watts or 100 feet)
• 18 gauge: 1380

Instruccions de funcionament

The transformer features a built-in timer and photocell, along with an ON/OFF/AUTO switch for flexible control of your landscape lighting system.

Configuració de control:

• ACTIVITAT: Provides continuous power to the connected lighting system. Lights will remain on until manually switched off.
• DESACTIVAT: Disables power to the lighting system. Lights will remain off.
• AUTOMÀTIC: Activates the photocell and timer functions. The lights will automatically turn on at dusk and operate according to the selected timer setting.

When the switch is set to AUTO, adjust the timer dial to select the desired duration for the lights to remain on after dusk. Common settings include 2 hours, 4 hours, or 6 hours. The lights will automatically turn off after the set duration or at dawn, whichever comes first.

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Kichler transformer, perform the following maintenance tasks:

• Regularly inspect the transformer casing and all wiring for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion.
• Keep the unit clean and free from dirt, leaves, and other debris that could obstruct ventilation or the photocell.
• Ensure the photocell is not obstructed by plants, structures, or other objects to allow for proper automatic operation.
• Periodically check all electrical connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.

If you encounter issues with your transformer, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:

Kichler Lighting warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 (one) year following the date of shipment from Seller. Black and/or Textured Architectural Bronze finish transformers are warranted for 10 years. This warranty does not cover labor or other costs or expenses to remove or install any defective, repaired, or replaced product. This warranty is not transferable.
