4. Configuració i instal·lació

4.1 Xassís acabatview

Familiarize yourself with the external and internal layout of the IPC 4U-4320L chassis.

4.2 Muntatge en bastidor

The IPC 4U-4320L is designed for standard 19-inch server racks. Use appropriate rack rails (not included) to secure the chassis in your server cabinet. Ensure the rack is stable and capable of supporting the weight of the fully loaded chassis.

1. Attach the rack rails to your server cabinet according to the rail manufacturer's instructions.
2. Slide the chassis onto the installed rack rails until it locks into place.
3. Secure the front of the chassis to the rack using the provided screws through the rack ears.

4.3 Instal·lació de components

Before installing any components, ensure the chassis is placed on a stable, flat surface and the power cable is disconnected.

4.3.1 Instal·lació de la placa base

2. Install the I/O shield into the rear panel cutout.
3. Align the motherboard with the standoffs inside the chassis.

4.3.2 Drive Installation (3.5" / 2.5" HDDs/SSDs)

The chassis supports multiple 3.5" and 2.5" drives. Utilize the provided drive cages and mounting hardware.

1. Attach the plastic drive rails (Figure 4.6) to the sides of your 3.5-inch hard drives. For 2.5-inch drives, use appropriate adapters (not included) or direct screw mounting if available.
2. Slide the prepared drive into an available drive bay within a drive cage (Figure 4.5) until it clicks into place.

4.3.3 5.25" Device Installation

The front panel provides bays for 5.25-inch devices such as optical drives or hot-swap drive cages.

1. Open the front panel door.
2. Remove the desired 5.25" bay cover from the front panel.
3. Slide the 5.25" device into the bay from the front.
4. Secure the device with screws from the side of the chassis.

4.3.4 Instal·lació de la targeta d'expansió

1. Remove the appropriate expansion slot cover from the rear of the chassis.
2. Insert the expansion card firmly into the PCIe/PCI slot on the motherboard.

1. Ensure all fans are correctly oriented for optimal airflow (intake at front, exhaust at rear).
2. Connect fan power cables to the motherboard or a fan controller.
3. Utilize additional mounting brackets (Figure 4.8) if installing extra fans or custom cooling solutions.

4.4 Connexió de perifèrics

After all internal components are installed, connect external peripherals.

1. Connect your monitor, keyboard, and mouse to the appropriate ports on the motherboard's I/O panel.
2. Connect network cables to the Ethernet ports.
3. Connect the power supply unit (PSU) to a grounded power outlet.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Engegada/apagada

1. Encès: Press the power button located on the front panel (refer to Figure 4.1).
2. Apagar: Perform a graceful shutdown through your operating system. For a forced shutdown, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
3. Restablir: Press the reset button on the front panel for a system restart.

6.2 Substitució del ventilador

If a fan fails or becomes excessively noisy, it may need replacement.

3. Disconnect the fan's power cable and unscrew it from its mounting.
4. Install a new fan of the same size and specifications, ensuring correct airflow direction.

Replacing a hard drive or SSD involves similar steps to initial installation.

1. Ensure the system is powered off and disconnected from power.
2. Open the chassis and locate the drive to be replaced.
3. Disconnect the data and power cables from the drive.
4. Unmount the drive from its cage or bay.
5. Install the new drive following the steps in Section 4.3.2.
