The device works bidirectionally, so either port can be used for input or output.

5. Instruccions de funcionament
Once installed and properly grounded, the Tupavco TP302 operates passively. It continuously monitors the Ethernet line for abnormal voltage spikes. In the event of a surge, the internal Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs) activate, diverting the excess electrical energy safely to the ground, thereby protecting your connected equipment. The device does not require any configuration or power supply for its protective function.

6. Manteniment
The Tupavco TP302 Ethernet Surge Protector is designed for minimal maintenance. Periodically inspect the ground wire connection to ensure it remains secure and free from corrosion. Also, check the Ethernet cable connections for any signs of wear or damage. If the device has experienced a significant surge event, it is recommended to inspect it for any visible damage and test network connectivity. While GDTs are robust, extreme events can sometimes degrade components.
