Preparació i aplicació

1. Preparació de la superfície

1. Ensure the pipe and fitting surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt, grease, or moisture.
2. Cut the pipe squarely and deburr the edges. Chamfer the pipe end to allow for easier entry into the fitting.
3. Dry fit the pipe and fitting to ensure proper interference fit. The pipe should enter the fitting socket 1/3 to 2/3 of the way without force.

2. Primer Application

1. Stir the primer thoroughly before use.
2. Using the dauber attached to the lid, apply a liberal coat of primer to the outside of the pipe end, covering an area equivalent to the depth of the fitting socket.
3. Immediately apply a second liberal coat of primer to the inside of the fitting socket. Ensure the entire surface to be joined is thoroughly wetted with primer.
4. The purple color of the primer will help confirm complete and uniform coverage.

3. Curing Time

Allow the primer to flash off for a few seconds (typically 15 seconds) before applying solvent cement. Do not allow the primer to dry completely before applying cement. The surface should remain wet with primer when the cement is applied.

• Keep the primer container tightly closed when not in use to prevent evaporation and contamination.
• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and ignition sources.
• Do not store at temperatures above 110°F (43°C).
• Clean tools and spills immediately with an appropriate solvent cleaner.

• Poor Bond: Ensure surfaces were clean and dry before priming. Apply primer liberally and ensure it is still wet when solvent cement is applied. Verify proper interference fit during dry fitting.
• Primer Drying Too Quickly: Work in smaller sections or in cooler conditions. Ensure the lid is replaced promptly after use.
• Uneven Coverage: Apply primer thoroughly and evenly using the dauber. The purple tint should help identify missed spots.
