1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your InFocus LP425z DLP Projector. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the projector to ensure proper operation and to maximize its lifespan.

The InFocus LP425z is a portable DLP projector designed for various applications, including home cinema and presentations. It features 900 ANSI lumens brightness and a 400:1 contrast ratio, delivering clear images with an 800x600 native resolution.

4. Configuració

4.1 Desembalatge

Traieu amb cura el projector i tots els accessoris de l'embalatge. Verifiqueu que hi hagi tots els components:

• InFocus LP425z Projector
• Cable d'alimentació
• Comandament a distància (si està inclòs)
• VGA Cable (if included)

4.2 Col·locació

Position the projector on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. The projector can display images from 28.9 to 227.3 inches diagonally, with a throw distance ranging from 5.0 to 30.0 feet. Adjust the projector's distance from the screen to achieve the desired image size.

4.3 Connexió de dispositius

The LP425z offers various input options for connecting to your source devices.

• Entrada de vídeo: Connect a video source (e.g., DVD player, VCR) to the composite video (RCA) inputs.
• Computer Input: Connect a computer to the VGA input port.

Connect the power cord to the projector's power input socket and then plug the other end into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the main power switch (located near the power input) is in the 'Off' (O) position before connecting.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Engegada/apagada

1. Assegureu-vos que tots els cables estiguin ben connectats.
2. Flip the main power switch (Figure 3) to the 'On' (I) position.
3. Premeu el botó Poder button on the projector's control panel or remote control. The power indicator light will illuminate.
4. Per apagar, premeu el botó Poder button again. The projector will enter a cool-down cycle before fully shutting down. Do not unplug the projector during the cool-down cycle.

The control panel on top of the projector (Figure 4) allows you to manage various settings:

• Botó d'encesa: Encén o apaga el projector.
• Botó de menú: Accedeix al menú de visualització en pantalla (OSD).
• Botons de navegació (amunt/avall/esquerra/dreta): S'utilitza per navegar per les opcions del menú i ajustar la configuració.

5.3 Ajust de l'enfocament i el zoom

The InFocus LP425z features manual focus and zoom controls. These are typically rings located around the projector lens (Figure 1).

• Focus: Rotate the focus ring until the image appears sharp and clear on the screen.
• Zoom: Rotate the zoom ring to adjust the size of the projected image without moving the projector. The zoom ratio is 1.30:1.

6. Manteniment

6.1 Lamp Substitució

The projector uses a 270W Metal Halide lamp with an estimated life of 1000 hours. When the lamp life is nearing its end, a warning message may appear, or the image brightness may significantly decrease. Refer to the label on the bottom of the projector for specific lamp replacement instructions (Figure 5).

Warning: To replace the lamp, ensure the projector is unplugged and has cooled down completely. High pressure lamp can explode if handled improperly. Refer to qualified service personnel if unsure.

6.2 Neteja

• Projector Casing: Utilitzeu un drap suau i sense pelusa dampened with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use harsh chemicals.
• Lent: Use a lens cleaning cloth and lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optical surfaces. Avoid touching the lens with your fingers.
• Obertures de ventilació: Periodically check and clean the ventilation openings to prevent dust buildup, which can lead to overheating. Use a soft brush or compressed air.
