1. Introducció

This user manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Zyxel WRE2205 Wireless Range Extender. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper setup and optimal performance.

The Zyxel WRE2205 is designed to extend the coverage of your existing wireless network, eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones and providing reliable connectivity throughout your home or office. It supports 802.11b/g/n wireless standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency band, offering data transfer rates up to 300 Mbps.

The Zyxel WRE2205 can be set up using two primary methods: WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) or through a web navegador.

4.1. Setup using WPS (Recommended)

1. Encès: Plug the WRE2205 into a power outlet near your existing wireless router/access point. Ensure the Power LED turns solid green.
2. Activa el WPS al router: Press the WPS button on your wireless router/access point. Refer to your router's manual for the exact location and procedure.
3. Activeu el WPS a l'extensor: Within two minutes, press the WPS button on the front panel of the WRE2205. The WPS LED on the extender will start flashing green.

4.2. Setup using Web Navegador

1. Encès: Plug the WRE2205 into a power outlet near your computer. Ensure the Power LED turns solid green.
2. Connectar-se a l'extensor: Connect your computer to the WRE2205 either wirelessly or via an Ethernet cable.
   • Sense fil: On your computer, search for available Wi-Fi networks and connect to the network named "Zyxel_WRE2205_XXXX" (where XXXX are the last four digits of the MAC address, found on the device label). No password is required initially.
   • Amb cable: Connect an Ethernet cable from your computer's LAN port to the LAN port on the bottom of the WRE2205.

5. Operating the Zyxel WRE2205
