Follow these steps to sharpen your knives effectively. The sharpener is designed to sharpen at a fixed 35° angle (17.5° per side).
4.1 Sharpening Dull Knives (Coarse Slot)
- Hold the sharpener firmly with one hand on a stable surface.
- Insert the knife blade into the Coarse (Slot 1) slot, ensuring the blade is centered.
- Apply light, even downward pressure and pull the knife blade through the slot from heel to tip. Do not push the knife back and forth. Always pull in one direction.
- Repeat this pulling motion 3-5 times, or until the knife feels sharper.
4.2 Fine Sharpening and Honing (Fine Slot)
After using the coarse slot, or for regular maintenance of already sharp knives, use the fine slot.
- Insert the knife blade into the Fine (Slot 2) ranura.
- Apply very light downward pressure and pull the knife blade through the slot from heel to tip.
- Repeat this pulling motion 5-7 times to refine the edge and achieve a polished finish.

Important: Always pull the knife through the sharpener in one direction, from heel to tip. Never push the knife back and forth, as this can damage the blade and the sharpener.
