Configuració i instal·lació
The SEAFLO 06 Series bilge pump features an all-in-one design, integrating the pump and float switch into a single compact unit. This simplifies installation and is ideal for tight bilge areas.

Figure 2: The pump's integrated design combines the pump and float switch.
Muntatge
Mount the pump in the lowest part of the bilge where water collects. Ensure the pump is securely fastened to a solid surface using appropriate fasteners. The pump is designed for full submersion.

Instruccions de cablejat
The pump is pre-wired with 3 ft (1 m) leads. Proper fuse protection and secure routing are essential for safe electrical connections and long-term reliability. Refer to the diagram below for wiring connections:
- Fil negre: Terra (-)
- White/Brown Wire: Automatic operation (connect to constant 12V DC power through a fuse)
- Fil marró: Manual operation (connect to a manual switch, then to 12V DC power through a fuse)
A 5 Amp fuse is required for proper protection. Ensure all connections are waterproof and corrosion-resistant.

Connexió de mànega
Connect a 3/4 inch (19 mm) hose to the pump's outlet. Secure the hose with a marine-grade hose clamp to prevent leaks. Route the hose to a suitable discharge point above the waterline.

Funcionament
The SEAFLO 06 Series pump offers both automatic and manual operation modes, ensuring your bilge remains dry.
Funcionament automàtic
The integrated float switch activates the pump automatically when the water level reaches approximately 1.6 to 2.0 inches (40–50 mm). The pump will continue to operate until the water level drops to about 3/4 inch (20 mm) above the strainer's bottom surface, at which point it deactivates. This efficient cycling reduces unnecessary power consumption.

Funcionament manual
If wired for manual operation, the pump can be activated or deactivated via an external switch, providing control over pumping cycles as needed.
Rendiment
This pump delivers a strong and consistent flow rate of 750 Gallons Per Hour (GPH) or 12.5 Gallons Per Minute (GPM), efficiently removing bilge water. It is equipped with a durable 5-blade impeller for reliable performance.

Manteniment
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your bilge pump.
Strainer Cleaning
The removable strainer base allows for quick access to clean out debris, preventing clogs and maintaining optimal flow. Periodically inspect and clean the strainer to ensure efficient operation.

Internal Component Inspection
The pump features a serviceable design with removable housing, allowing access to internal components for inspection and cleaning. This helps maintain impeller efficiency and float switch performance.
Resolució de problemes
If you encounter issues with your bilge pump, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- La bomba no s'activa: Check all wiring connections for proper polarity and secure contact. Ensure the fuse is intact and of the correct ampera (5 Amp). Verify that the float switch is not obstructed and can move freely.
- Low Flow Rate or No Pumping: Inspect the strainer for debris and clean if necessary. Check the hose for kinks or blockages. Ensure the pump is not running dry, as this can damage the motor.
- La bomba funciona contínuament: Check the float switch for obstructions or damage that might prevent it from returning to the 'off' position.
- Wiring Discrepancies: Some units may have variations in wire labeling. Always test the pump's automatic and manual functions before making final connections to ensure correct wiring.
- Performance at Height: This pump is designed for typical bilge applications. If used for higher lift requirements (e.g., over 4 feet), performance may be reduced.
