The Voltcraft Gamma-Check-A is a portable Geiger counter designed for the quick and easy detection of radioactive radiation. 5. Configuració

5.1 Instal·lació de la bateria

1. Localitzeu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria a la part posterior del dispositiu.
2. Open the battery compartment by sliding or unscrewing the cover.
3. Insert a new 9V Lithium battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Tanqueu bé la tapa del compartiment de la bateria.

Nota: Use only 9V Lithium batteries for optimal performance and longevity. Remove the battery if the device will not be used for an extended period.

6. Instruccions de funcionament

6.1 Encès/Apagat

• Per encendre: Manteniu premut el botó OK button for approximately 2 seconds. The display will light up, and the device will begin its self-test.
• Per apagar: Manteniu premut el botó OK durant aproximadament 2 segons fins que la pantalla s'apagui.

6.2 Prendre una mesura

Once powered on, the device automatically starts measuring radiation levels. The current radiation dose rate will be displayed in µSv/h on the main screen.

• Position the device near the object or area you wish to measure.
• Allow a few seconds for the reading to stabilize. The device detects radiation in a short time.
• The display will show the real-time radiation dose.

6.3 Adjustable Alarm

The Gamma-Check-A features an adjustable alarm to alert you when radiation levels exceed a set threshold.

1. Premeu el botó Menú botó per entrar al menú de configuració.
2. Utilitza el Up (▲) i Avall (▼) buttons to navigate to the "Alarm Threshold" option.
3. Premeu OK per seleccionar.

6. Exit the menu by pressing the Menú button repeatedly until you return to the main screen.

Nota: When the radiation level exceeds the set threshold, the device will emit an audible alarm and/or visual alert.

6.4 Acoustic Decay Indicator

The device provides an acoustic indicator for radiation decay events, allowing for real-time auditory feedback on detected radiation particles.

• This feature is typically active by default. Refer to the menu settings to enable or disable it if desired.
• Each click or beep indicates a detected radiation event. The frequency of clicks corresponds to the intensity of radiation.

7. Manteniment

• Neteja: Netegeu el dispositiu amb un drap suau i sec. No utilitzeu productes de neteja abrasius ni dissolvents.
• Emmagatzematge: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use. Remove the battery if storing for extended periods.
• Substitució de la bateria: Replace the 9V Lithium battery when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
