1. Introducció

The I-Tech Mio-Care PRO is an electrotherapy device designed for pain management and muscle stimulation. It is classified as a Class IIA Medical Device (CE0068), ensuring compliance with European health, safety, and environmental protection standards.

3. Configuració i ús inicial

3.1 Càrrega de la bateria

Before first use, fully charge the internal Ni-Mh battery. Connect the provided battery charger to the device and a power outlet. The charging indicator on the device will show the charging status. A full charge ensures optimal performance and battery longevity.

3.2 Elèctrodes de connexió

The Mio-Care PRO has 2 independent channels (CH1 and CH2), each capable of connecting up to 4 electrodes using the provided 4-wire cables. This allows for a total of 8 electrodes to be used simultaneously.

2. Connect the 4-wire electrode cables to the CH1 and CH2 ports on the top of the device.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

The device features a numeric keypad with simple and intuitive controls. The graphic display provides real-time indications of the current program and remaining time.

• Botó d'encesa: Typically integrated with the MODE/ESC button or a dedicated button. Press and hold to turn on/off.
• PRG+ / PRG-: Used to navigate through the available programs.
• SET / OK: Confirms selections or enters program settings.
• MODE / ESC: Switches between modes or exits a menu.
• Botons de fletxa (amunt/avall/esquerra/dreta): Adjust intensity levels for each channel (CH1, CH2) and navigate within settings.

4.2 Program Selection and Adjustment

The Mio-Care PRO offers 50 pre-set programs categorized into Medical (TENS/NEMS), Beauty, and Fitness, plus 13 free memory slots for custom TENS/NEMS programs.

1. Activar: Manteniu premut el botó d'encesa.
2. Seleccioneu el programa: Use the PRG+ or PRG- buttons to browse through the programs. The display will show the program number and type (e.g., TENS, NEMS, BEAUTY, FITNESS).
3. Inicia el programa: Once a program is selected, press SET/OK to confirm.
4. Ajustar la intensitat: During a program, use the arrow buttons (up/down for CH1, left/right for CH2) to gradually increase the intensity for each channel. Increase until a comfortable, yet effective, sensation is felt. The maximum output is 100 mA per channel.
5. Pausa/Atura: Use the MODE/ESC button to pause or stop the program.

Nota: Always start with the lowest intensity and gradually increase. If any discomfort or pain occurs, reduce the intensity or stop the program immediately.

4.3 Understanding Program Types (TENS, NEMS, Beauty)

• TENS (Estimulació nerviosa elèctrica transcutània): Primarily used for pain relief. It works by stimulating nerves to block pain signals or release endorphins.
• NEMS (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation): Used for muscle stimulation, strengthening, and rehabilitation. It causes muscle contractions.

5. Manteniment i cura

5.1 Neteja de dispositius

Netegeu el dispositiu regularment amb un drap suau iamp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water. Ensure the device is turned off and unplugged before cleaning.

5.2 Electrode Care and Replacement

The pre-gelled adhesive electrodes are reusable. To prolong their lifespan:

• Always apply electrodes to clean, dry, and hair-free skin.
• After each use, place the electrodes back on their protective plastic film.
• Store electrodes in a cool, dry place, preferably in the provided carrying bag.
• Replace electrodes when they lose their adhesiveness or if you notice reduced conductivity, typically after 15-20 uses depending on skin type and care.

5.3 Manteniment de la bateria

The device uses a rechargeable Ni-Mh battery. To maintain battery health:

• If storing the device for an extended period, charge the battery partially (around 50%) and store in a cool, dry place. Recharge every few months to prevent deep discharge.
