1. Introducció

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your FERVE F918 Battery Charger. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device to ensure proper handling, maintenance, and to prevent damage or injury.

The FERVE F918 is a robust battery charger designed for lead-acid batteries (12V and 24V) with capacities ranging from 80 Ah to 225 Ah. It features a digital voltmeter and ammeter, along with a test function, all housed in a durable metal casing.

3. Configuració

  1. Desembalatge: Traieu amb cura el carregador del seu embalatge. Inspeccioneu-lo per veure si hi ha signes de danys.
  2. Col·locació: Place the charger on a stable, flat surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and flammable materials.
  3. Preparació de la bateria: Assegureu-vos que els terminals de la bateria estiguin nets i sense corrosió. Si cal, netegeu-los amb un raspall de filferro.
  4. Connexió a la bateria:
    • Connecteu el vermell (+) clamp al terminal positiu (+) de la bateria.
    • Connecteu el negre (-) clamp al terminal negatiu (-) de la bateria.
    • Assegureu-vos que les connexions siguin segures.
  5. Connexió d'alimentació: Only after connecting the clamps to the battery, plug the charger's power cord into a suitable 230V AC outlet.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

4.1. Càrrega d'una bateria

  1. Seleccioneu Voltage: Utilitzeu el voltage selector switch (red rotary knob) on the front panel to choose between 12 V or 24 V, matching your battery's voltage.
  2. Seleccioneu Ampera: Utilitza el amperage selector switches (orange buttons) to choose between 10A or 20A, depending on the battery's capacity and desired charging speed. For larger batteries or faster charging, select 20A.
  3. Pantalla del monitor: The digital display will show the current voltage i amperage during charging.
  4. Procés de càrrega: The charger will automatically begin charging. Monitor the display for progress. Charging is complete when the amperage draw significantly decreases or the voltage s'estabilitza.
  5. Desconnexió: Once charging is complete, first unplug the charger from the AC outlet, then disconnect the black (-) clamp, seguit del cl vermell (+)amp de la bateria.

4.2. Test Function

The FERVE F918 includes a test function to check the battery's voltage. To use this function, ensure the charger is connected to the battery but not necessarily to the main power supply. Select the "TEST" position on the red rotary knob. The digital display will show the current battery voltage.

5. Manteniment

  • Neteja: Disconnect the charger from all power sources and batteries before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Emmagatzematge: Store the charger in a cool, dry place when not in use. Keep the cables neatly coiled.
  • Inspecció del cable: Regularly inspect the power cord and battery cables for any signs of damage, fraying, or exposed wires. Do not use the charger if cables are damaged.
  • Substitució de fusibles: The charger features an "AUTO-FUSE" system. If the charger stops working, check the fuse. Refer to the diagram on the unit for fuse location and replacement instructions if applicable (though "AUTO-FUSE" implies self-resetting or internal, non-user-serviceable).
