4. Configuració
4.1 Col·locació de la màquina
Place the overlock machine on a stable, flat surface with adequate lighting. Ensure there is enough space around the machine for fabric handling.
4.2 Connexió d'alimentació
Connect the foot pedal to the machine and then plug the power cord into a standard 230V~50Hz electrical outlet. Ensure the machine's power switch is in the OFF position before plugging it in.
4.3 Enfilar la màquina
The MD 14302 uses 4 threads. Proper threading is crucial for correct stitch formation. Refer to the color-coded threading guides on the machine for assistance. It is recommended to follow the threading path precisely, starting with the lower looper, then the upper looper, and finally the needles.
- Raise the presser foot and open the front cover.
- Place the thread spools onto the spool holders.
- Extend the telescopic thread guide to its highest position.
- Follow the numbered and color-coded threading path for each thread. Use the pincette for easier access to tight areas.

4.4 Instal·lació de l'agulla
The machine uses #14 - 130/705H type needles. Always ensure the flat side of the needle faces the back of the machine when inserting.
- Turn the handwheel towards you to raise the needles to their highest position.

- Insert the new needle(s) as far up as it will go, with the flat side facing the back.

5. Instruccions de funcionament
5.1 Costura bàsica
- Turn on the power switch. The 15-watt bulb (E14) will illuminate the sewing area.

- Gently press the foot pedal to start sewing. The machine operates at a speed of up to 1000 stitches per minute.

- To stop, release the foot pedal. Raise the presser foot and pull the fabric away, cutting the thread chain.
5.2 Adjusting Differential Feed
The adjustable differential feed allows you to control the feeding of fabric, preventing stretching on knits or puckering on fine fabrics. Adjust the differential feed dial according to your fabric type and desired effect.

6.1 Neteja
Regular cleaning prevents lint and dust buildup, which can affect machine performance. Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
- Use the provided brush to remove lint from the looper area, under the needle plate, and around the feed dogs.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth.
6.2 Lubricació
Apply a small drop of sewing machine oil (not included in the mini oiler) to designated oiling points as indicated in the full user manual (if available) or by a qualified technician. Do not over-oil.
6.3 Changing the Upper Knife
The upper knife may become dull over time. Use the Allen key to replace the upper knife with the spare provided in the accessories kit. Ensure the new knife is securely fastened and correctly positioned.
