1. Introducció

Thank you for choosing the Ferve F812 Battery Charger. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your device. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the charger and keep it for future reference.

The Ferve F812 is designed to charge 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries with capacities ranging from 35 Ah to 140 Ah, offering selectable charging currents of 6A and 12A.

  • Seguretat elèctrica: Ensure the charger is connected to a grounded outlet. Do not expose the charger to rain or wet conditions. Never operate the charger if the power cord or clamps estan danyats.
  • Gasos explosius: Batteries generate explosive gases during normal operation. Ensure adequate ventilation when charging. Avoid sparks, flames, and smoking near the battery.
  • Protecció ocular i cutània: Always wear eye protection and protective clothing when working with batteries. Battery acid is corrosive.

  • Connexió adequada: Connect the battery charger output clamps to the battery terminals in the correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative). Ensure a secure connection.
  • Desconnexió: Always disconnect the AC power from the charger before disconnecting the battery clamps.
  • Ús previst: This charger is designed for charging lead-acid batteries only. Do not use it for charging dry-cell batteries that may burst and cause injury to persons and damage to property.

4. Configuració

  1. Ventilació: Ensure the charging area is well-ventilated to disperse explosive gases.
  2. Preparació de la bateria: Clean battery terminals of any corrosion. If the battery has removable caps, check electrolyte levels and top up with distilled water if necessary.
  3. Col·locació del carregador: Place the charger on a stable, dry surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
  4. Connectar a la bateria:
    • Connecteu el VERMELL (+) clamp al terminal positiu (+) de la bateria.
    • Connecteu el NEGRE (-) clamp al terminal negatiu (-) de la bateria.
    • Assegureu-vos que les connexions siguin fermes i segures.
  5. Seleccioneu Voltage: Utilitzeu el voltaginterruptor selector del carregador per adaptar-lo al volum de la bateriatage (12V o 24V).
  6. Select Current: Use the current selector switch to choose the desired charging current (6A or 12A). Refer to your battery's specifications for recommended charging rates.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

  1. Connecteu-vos a l'alimentació: Després de connectar el clamps to the battery and selecting voltage/current, plug the charger's power cord into a 230V AC grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Càrrega del monitor: The digital display will show the charging voltage. The charger will automatically begin charging. Monitor the display and the battery's condition.
  3. Finalització de la càrrega: The charger will typically reduce current as the battery approaches full charge. Refer to the battery manufacturer's guidelines for full charge indications.
  4. Desconnexió:
    • First, unplug the charger from the AC power outlet.
    • Then, disconnect the BLACK (-) clamp del terminal negatiu de la bateria.
    • Finally, disconnect the RED (+) clamp del terminal positiu de la bateria.
  5. TEST Function: Press the 'TEST' button to check the battery's voltage or other diagnostic information as indicated by the charger's display.

6. Manteniment

  • Neteja: Disconnect the charger from all power sources and batteries before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp tela. No utilitzeu dissolvents ni netejadors abrasius.
