It is important to note that this product is not compatible with KATO Coupler Close-Coupled Type or KATO Coupler Close-Coupled Type AT (telescopic type).
2. Models compatibles
This coupler is suitable for a range of KATO N-gauge models. Please verify your model's compatibility before installation.
- Kumoha 383, Kumoni 83 Series 800, Kumoyuni 82 Series 800, Kumoyuni 74 (when body-mount coupler is installed).
- 101 Series (If the cab side has a dummy coupler, replacement with Assy Part Kuha 101 Coupler Set (Front) (Part No. 4601-2C) is required).
- Compatible only with intermediate connecting surfaces for:
- 111 Series, 115 Series (300/800 series), 151 Series, 155 Series, 181 Series, 189 Series.
- JNR Color "Asama", 485 Series, 489 Series, 581 Series, 583 Series, 731 Series, Kiha 201 Series.
3. Establir continguts

Note: The coupler receiver and coupler spring are included for replacement in case of loss or damage during assembly. Please use them together.
4. Configuració i instal·lació
Follow these steps to install the KATO N-Gauge Coupler Continuous Shape #2 (Short) on your model train car:
- Gently remove the existing coupler from the car. If a snowplow is present, remove it first. Be careful not to lose the coupler spring during removal.
- Refer to the coupler installation diagram. Insert the new KATO Coupler Continuous Shape #2 into the coupler receiver.
- Place the coupler spring into the coupler receiver.
- Assemble all three parts (coupler, receiver, spring) and attach them to the car. Ensure the coupler can move freely left and right after installation.
