3. Configuració i instal·lació
3.1 Desembalatge
Carefully remove the fan unit from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage. The box should contain the MF100T fan unit and this instruction manual.
3.2 Muntatge
The MF100T fan can be mounted in various positions within a ducting system (e.g., in a loft space, ceiling void, or wall cavity). It is suitable for use with 100mm diameter rigid or flexible ducting. The fan assembly is designed for easy removal from rigid ducting installations for maintenance.
- Secure the fan unit firmly to a stable surface using appropriate fixings. Avoid mounting directly to rafters without vibration isolation to minimize noise transmission.
- Connect the 100mm ducting to both inlet and outlet spigots of the fan. Ensure all connections are airtight using duct tape or appropriate clamps to maintain optimal performance and prevent air leakage.

- Permanent Live (L): Provides continuous power to the fan's timer circuit.
- Switched Live (LS): Connects to the room's light switch. The fan activates when this live is present (light is on).
- Neutre (N): Common return path for the electrical circuit.
- Terra: Not required for the fan unit itself as it is Class II double insulated.
Use solid core wiring of at least 1mm². Ensure terminals are securely tightened.
3.4 Speed Settings Adjustment
The fan has three speed settings (Low, Medium, High). These are selected via an internal dip switch located within the wiring compartment. To change the speed setting:
- Ensure power to the fan is disconnected at the mains.
- Open the wiring compartment cover (usually secured by screws).
- Locate the dip switch. Refer to the internal diagram or markings for specific switch positions corresponding to Low, Medium, and High speeds.
- Adjust the dip switch to the desired speed setting.
