1. Introducció

The Goldanalytix GoldScreenPen is a practical and innovative device designed for the rapid and non-destructive authentication of precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. This highly portable and precisely engineered tool provides real-time material conductivity statements, making it ideal for various applications including precious metal recycling, pawn shops, banks, coin dealers, and waste disposal companies.

It features the world's smallest inductive measuring tip, allowing for the testing of various objects like ingots and coins (though not for carat determination). The GoldScreenPen offers high sensitivity and measurement precision, with an integrated digital display for easy operation.

4. Configuració

Before first use, ensure the GoldScreenPen is fully charged.

1. Càrrega del dispositiu: Connect the provided charging cable to the charging port on the GoldScreenPen and plug the other end into a suitable power adapter. The device's display will indicate charging status.
2. Encès: Locate the 'On' button or dial on the device and press/turn it to power on the GoldScreenPen. The display will light up and show "Messung bereit" (Measurement ready).

5. Instruccions de funcionament

The GoldScreenPen uses an inductive measuring principle to determine the authenticity of precious metals.

1. Preparació: Ensure the surface of the metal object to be tested is clean and free of dirt or coatings that might interfere with the measurement.
2. Col·locació: Gently place the measuring tip of the GoldScreenPen directly onto the surface of the metal object. Ensure full contact.
3. Lectura: The device will display a conductivity reading (Leitwert [MS/m]) on its screen. Compare this reading to known values for authentic precious metals.
4. Interpretació:
   • Authentic gold, silver, platinum, and palladium will yield specific conductivity ranges. Refer to the detailed manual (included in the package) for precise values.
   • The device can measure through thin films and many blister packs, making it versatile for various forms of precious metals.
   • It is effective for testing coins and small ingots up to 1 ounce.
   • Silverware can also be clearly verified.

6. Manteniment

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your GoldScreenPen.

• Neteja: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device and the measuring tip. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Emmagatzematge: When not in use, store the GoldScreenPen in its padded carrying case to protect it from dust, moisture, and physical damage.
• Bateria: Recarrega el dispositiu regularment, fins i tot si no l'utilitzes amb freqüència, per mantenir la bateria en bon estat.
