Play proceeds clockwise. On your turn, you must place one of your dominoes onto the table. The domino you play must match one of the open ends of the existing domino chain. For instance, if a domino with a '5' is at an open end of the chain, you must play a domino that also has a '5' on one of its ends. The matching ends must touch.
Drawing from the Boneyard
If you are unable to make a valid move with the dominoes in your hand, you must draw one domino at a time from the boneyard until you draw a playable domino. If the boneyard becomes empty and you still cannot make a move, you must pass your turn.
Dobles
Double dominoes (e.g., double-four) are typically placed perpendicularly to the main chain. For this game, assume doubles allow play on the two ends of the double, extending the chain in a straight line.
Winning the Round
The first player to successfully play all their dominoes wins the round. If the game becomes blocked (no player can make a move and the boneyard is empty), the round ends. In a blocked game, the player with the fewest pips (dots) on their remaining dominoes is declared the winner of that round.
Scoring (Optional)
For a multi-round game, the winner of each round scores points equal to the total number of pips on the dominoes remaining in the other players' hands. The game continues for multiple rounds until a player reaches a predetermined winning score (e.g., 100 or 200 points).
