Instal·lació
The XtremepowerUS sand filter system is designed for quick and straightforward setup. Ensure the filter is placed on a firm, level surface. Connect the pool pump to the filter system using appropriate adapters and hoses (sold separately).

Sand Loading
- Ensure the internal standpipe and laterals are correctly positioned at the bottom of the tank.
- Carefully add the recommended amount of filter sand (up to 175 lbs for the 19-inch model) into the tank, ensuring the standpipe remains centered.
- Fill the tank with water to just above the sand level before installing the multi-port valve head.
Operating Instructions: 7-Way Multi-Port Valve Functions
The 7-way multi-port valve allows for various operational modes. Always turn off the pump before changing valve positions.
- Filtre: This is the standard operating mode for daily filtration. Water is purified by passing through the sand media.
- Rentat a contracor: Reverses the flow of water through the filter to clean the sand bed and remove trapped debris. Perform when pressure gauge reading is 8-10 PSI above normal operating pressure.
- Esbandida: Used after backwashing to flush out any remaining debris from the valve and pipes before returning to filter mode.
- Residus: Drains water directly from the pool, bypassing the filter. Useful for lowering pool water level or vacuuming heavy debris directly to waste.
- Re-Circulate: Circulates pool water without passing it through the filter media. Useful for mixing chemicals.
- Tancat: Stops all water flow to and from the filter. Use this setting only when the pump is off and for servicing.
- Hivern: Prepares the system for winterization by allowing water to drain from the valve and filter.
Manteniment
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your sand filter system.
- Rentat a contracorrent: Backwash the filter regularly, typically when the pressure gauge reads 8-10 PSI higher than its clean operating pressure.
