2. Monitorització d'àudio

The ATR2100-USB features a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom for direct, latency-free monitoring of your audio. Connect your headphones to this jack. Use the volume control dial located next to the headphone jack to adjust your monitoring level.

3. Using with a Computer (USB)

  1. After connecting via USB, ensure the microphone is 'ON'.
  2. On your computer, navigate to your sound settings (e.g., Windows: Sound Control Panel > Recording tab; macOS: System Preferences > Sound > Input tab).
  3. Select the ATR2100-USB as your input device.
  4. Adjust the input level (gain) within your computer's sound settings or your recording software.
  5. Select the ATR2100-USB as your output device for headphone monitoring if desired, or use your computer's default output.

4. Using with a Mixer/Audio Interface (XLR)

  1. Connect the microphone via XLR to an input on your mixer or audio interface.
  2. Ensure the microphone is 'ON'.
  3. Adjust the gain on your mixer/audio interface for an optimal signal level.
  4. Monitor your audio through your mixer's or interface's headphone output.

5. Cardioid Pickup Pattern

The ATR2100-USB features a cardioid polar pattern, meaning it is most sensitive to sound coming from the front of the microphone and rejects sound from the sides and rear. This helps to minimize pickup of unwanted ambient noise and feedback. Position the microphone directly towards the sound source (e.g., your mouth) for best results.

Manteniment

1. Neteja

To clean the microphone, gently wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For the grille, use a soft brush to remove any dust or debris. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the microphone's components.

2. Emmagatzematge

When not in use, store the microphone and its accessories in a clean, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and humidity. Disconnect all cables before storing. The included cable ties can be used to keep cables neatly organized.

3. Cura dels cables

Avoid sharply bending or twisting the USB and XLR cables. Always grasp the connector, not the cable, when plugging or unplugging. Proper cable care extends their lifespan and ensures reliable performance.

Resolució de problemes

Sense sortida de so

  • Ensure the microphone's ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position and the blue LED is illuminated.
  • Comproveu totes les connexions dels cables (USB o XLR) per assegurar-vos que estiguin ben fixades.
  • If using USB, verify that the ATR2100-USB is selected as the input device in your computer's sound settings and recording software.
  • If using XLR, confirm that the correct input channel is selected on your mixer/audio interface and its gain is adjusted appropriately.
  • Ensure your monitoring headphones are plugged into the microphone's headphone jack and the volume dial is turned up.

Mala qualitat de so / Volum baix

  • Adjust the input gain/level on your computer or mixer/audio interface. Avoid setting it too high, which can cause distortion, or too low, which results in a weak signal.
  • Ensure the microphone is positioned correctly, facing the sound source directly, and within an appropriate distance (typically 6-12 inches).
  • Check for environmental noise. The cardioid pattern helps, but excessive background noise can still be picked up.
  • Ensure the pop filter is correctly positioned to reduce plosives.
  • If using XLR, confirm that phantom power is OFF, as it is not required and can potentially damage dynamic microphones.

Microphone Not Recognized by Computer

  • Proveu de connectar el cable USB a un port USB diferent de l'ordinador.
  • Reinicieu l'ordinador.
  • Ensure the microphone is 'ON'.
  • Check your operating system's device manager (Windows) or system report (macOS) to see if the device is listed.
