2. Instruccions de configuració

2.1 Contingut del paquet

  • 1 x WitMotion SINRT-232 Inclinometer (RS232 version)
  • 1 x Evaluation Board
  • 1 x Welcome Guide (USB-UART converter not included)

2.2 Connexió de maquinari

  1. Connect the SINRT-232 inclinometer to the provided evaluation board.
  2. Ensure the evaluation board's VCC is connected to a 9-36V power supply's VCC, and the evaluation board's GND is connected to the power supply's GND.
  3. Connect the evaluation board to your Windows PC using a Micro-USB cable.

2.3 Instal·lació del programari

  1. Install the necessary serial driver for the USB-UART converter. This driver is typically available on the WitMotion weblloc.
  2. Confirm the COM port assigned to the device in your PC's Device Manager.
  3. Open the WitMotion PC software (Minimu.exe). Data should appear automatically after the auto-search function completes. If not, manually select the correct COM port and baud rate (default 9600bps).

3. Instruccions de funcionament

3.1 Real-time Data Monitoring

Once connected to the PC software, the SINRT-232 will transmit real-time angle data (X, Y, Z axes). The software provides a dashboard, curve display, and data recording features for comprehensive analysis.

3.2 Configuració dels llindars d'alarma

The SINRT-232 allows users to set custom alarm angle thresholds. When the measured tilt angle exceeds the configured threshold, the relay output will trigger, which can be used to activate external alarm lights or other systems.

  1. In the PC software, navigate to the alarm settings.
  2. Enable the X and Y angle alarms.
  3. Set the minimum and maximum angle thresholds for both X and Y axes. The default alarm threshold is 10 degrees.
  4. Configure the confirmation time and hold time for the alarm trigger.
  5. Click 'Write' to save the configuration to the sensor.

4. Calibració

For optimal accuracy, the SINRT-232 may require calibration. The PC software provides tools for accelerometer calibration and setting the zero angle.

  1. Place the module face-up on a horizontal plane before calibration.
  2. In the PC software, navigate to the 'Config' menu and select 'Acceleration' under 'Calibrate'.
  3. Click 'Start calibration'. The system will automatically calculate the calibration value. Wait for approximately 2-3 seconds, then click 'Complete calibration' after the data stabilizes.
  4. Click 'Write parameter' to save the calibration.

5. Manteniment

The SINRT-232 is designed for durability with an IP67 rating, offering protection against dust and water immersion. To ensure long-term performance:

  • Keep the sensor clean and free from excessive debris.
  • Avoid exposing the sensor to extreme physical shock beyond its specified resistance.
  • Ensure all cable connections are secure to maintain the IP67 rating.

6. Solució De Problemes

If you encounter issues with your SINRT-232, consider the following:

  • No Data in Software: Verify the serial driver is correctly installed, the USB-UART converter is functioning, and the correct COM port and baud rate are selected in the software.
  • Lectures incorrectes: Perform accelerometer calibration as described in Section 4.1. Ensure the sensor is mounted securely and correctly oriented.
