The EBERTH 6.5 HP / 4.8 kW gasoline engine is a robust and reliable four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with a 196 cm³ displacement. Designed for various applications, it features air cooling and a cable start mechanism. The engine operates efficiently at a maximum of 3600 rpm and includes an oil shortage safety system that automatically shuts down the engine if the oil level is too low, protecting it from damage.

This engine is suitable as a drive unit for a wide range of machinery, including go-karts, lawnmowers, lawn tractors, vibratory plates, power generators, snow blowers, log splitters, garden tillers, and cultivators. Its 19.05 mm diameter left-rotating shaft ensures compatibility with many existing setups. The package includes essential tools for initial commissioning and ongoing maintenance.

2. Configuració i preparació inicial

Before operating the engine, proper setup is crucial for safety and performance. Follow these steps carefully:

2.1 Desembalatge i inspecció

Carefully remove the engine and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all included accessories, such as the toolkit, are present.

2.2 Afegir oli de motor

The engine is shipped without oil. It is essential to fill the crankcase with the recommended engine oil before the first start. Refer to the specifications for the correct oil type and capacity.

1. Col·loqueu el motor sobre una superfície plana.

3. Slowly add the recommended oil until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
4. Securely replace the oil filler cap/dipstick.

2.3 Afegir combustible

Use only unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 95 RON or higher. The fuel tank capacity is 3.6 liters.

1. Assegureu-vos que el motor estigui apagat i fred.

3. Fill the tank slowly, avoiding spills. Do not fill above the filter screen or to the very top of the tank to allow for fuel expansion.

2.4 Muntatge del motor

The engine can be mounted as a replacement or primary power unit in various machines. Refer to the engine's dimensional drawing for mounting hole patterns and shaft details.

3. Instruccions de funcionament

Familiarize yourself with the engine controls before starting.

3.1 Controlsview

• Vàlvula de combustible: Controls fuel flow to the carburetor.

3.2 Arrencada del motor

1. Ensure the engine has sufficient oil and fuel.
2. Obriu la vàlvula de combustible.
3. Move the choke lever to the 'CLOSED' position (for cold starts). For warm starts, the choke may not be necessary.
4. Poseu l'interruptor del motor a la posició 'ON'.
5. Pull the recoil starter handle slowly until resistance is felt, then pull firmly and quickly. Do not let the rope snap back; guide it gently.
6. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'OPEN' position.
7. Deixeu que el motor s'escalfi durant uns minuts abans d'aplicar la càrrega.

3.3 Parar el motor

1. Reduir la velocitat del motor al ralentí.

4.2 Manteniment del filtre d'aire

A dirty air filter can reduce engine performance and increase fuel consumption. Clean or replace the air filter regularly.

1. Traieu la coberta del filtre d'aire.
2. Traieu l'element del filtre d'escuma.
3. Wash the foam element in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air dry completely. Lightly oil the foam element with engine oil before reinstallation.
4. Replace the air filter element and cover.

4.3 Spark Plug Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect the spark plug periodically for wear and carbon buildup. Clean or replace as needed.

4.4 Canvi d'oli

Canvieu l'oli del motor després de les primeres 20 hores de funcionament, després cada 50-100 hores o anualment, el que passi primer.

1. Feu funcionar el motor durant uns minuts per escalfar l'oli.
2. Col·loqueu un recipient adequat sota el tap de drenatge d'oli.
3. Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick and the oil drain plug to allow the oil to drain completely.
4. Reinstall the oil drain plug and fill with new, recommended engine oil (refer to Section 2.2).
