5. Configuració i instal·lació
Follow these steps to install or replace your sediment filter cartridge:
- Tanqueu el subministrament d'aigua: Locate the main water shut-off valve for your home and turn it off.

- Insereix un filtre nou: Carefully unwrap the new Tier1 sediment filter cartridge and insert it into the filter housing sump. Ensure it is seated correctly on the center standpipe.

Once installed, the Tier1 sediment filter operates continuously as water flows through your whole house filtration system. It is designed for a flow rate of 5 gallons per minute (GPM) and effectively captures particles as small as 1 micron.
No further user interaction is required during normal operation until filter replacement is due.
7. Manteniment
Regular replacement of your sediment filter is crucial for maintaining optimal water quality and system performance. The recommended replacement interval for the Tier1 P1_10 filter is every 3 mesos. This interval may vary depending on the quality of your incoming water supply and household water usage. A noticeable decrease in water pressure is often an indicator that the filter is becoming clogged and requires replacement.

- Reduced Water Pressure:
Causa: The filter cartridge is likely clogged with accumulated sediment.

- Water Leaks from Filter Housing:
Causa: Improperly seated O-ring, damaged O-ring, or loose housing sump.
Solució: Turn off water supply, depressurize, remove housing, inspect and reseat or replace the O-ring, then re-tighten the housing. Do not overtighten.

Causa: Insufficient flushing after installation or improper filter seating.
Solució: Flush the system for a longer period (5-10 minutes). If the problem persists, turn off water, depressurize, and re-check filter seating.
