1. Instruccions de seguretat importants

Quan utilitzeu aparells elèctrics, sempre s'han de seguir les precaucions bàsiques de seguretat per reduir el risc d'incendi, descàrrega elèctrica i/o lesions a les persones, incloses les següents:

3. Configuració

1. Desembalar: Carefully remove the kettle and its base from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Col·locació: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable surface away from the edge of the countertop. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces.
3. Neteja de primer ús: Before first use, fill the kettle with fresh water up to the MAX level. Boil the water (select 212°F/100°C) and then discard it. Repeat this process twice to ensure the kettle is clean and free from any manufacturing residues.
4. Gestió de cordons: The power base features a hidden cord wrap. Adjust the cord length as needed and store excess cord underneath the base for a tidy countertop.

4. Instruccions de funcionament

1. Ompliu la tetera: Press the lid opening button to open the soft-open lid. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark. Close the lid securely.
2. Lloc a la base: Place the kettle firmly on its 360° swivel base.
3. Seleccioneu la temperatura: Use the temperature selection lever on the base to choose your desired water temperature. The illuminated indicators will show the selected temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit.

4. Començar a bullir: Press the ON/OFF button to start the heating process. The selected temperature indicator will blink while heating and remain solid once the temperature is reached. The kettle will automatically shut off.
5. Funció de mantenir la calor: To activate the Keep Warm function, press the Keep Warm button (usually indicated by a thermometer icon) after selecting your desired temperature and before pressing the ON/OFF button. The kettle will maintain the selected temperature for up to 20 minutes.
6. Abocar aigua: Carefully lift the kettle from the base and pour the hot water. The anti-drip spout ensures a clean pour.

5. Temperature Settings Guide

The SMEG KLF04 offers precise temperature control, allowing you to heat water to the ideal temperature for various beverages:

• 122 °F (50 °C): Ideal for warm water, baby formula, or rewarming beverages.
• 140 °F (60 °C): Perfect for delicate green teas or white teas.
• 160 °F (70 °C): Suitable for some green teas and instant coffee.
• 175 °F (80 °C): Recommended for oolong teas.
• 190 °F (90 °C): Great for French press coffee or black teas.
• 205 °F (95 °C): Optimal for strong black teas or herbal infusions.
• 212 °F (100 °C): Boiling point, ideal for black teas, instant noodles, or sterilizing.

6. Manteniment i Neteja

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your kettle.

Neteja de l'exterior:

• Desconnecteu sempre el bullidor i deixeu-lo refredar completament abans de netejar-lo.
• Netegeu l'exterior amb un suau, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the glossy finish.
• Assegureu-vos que no entri aigua als components elèctrics.

Cleaning the Interior and Scale Filter:

• The kettle features a removable stainless steel scale filter located behind the spout.

• Rinse the filter under running water and brush off any mineral deposits. For stubborn deposits, soak the filter in a descaling solution.
• The interior of the kettle can be descaled periodically using a commercial descaling product or a natural solution (e.g., vinegar and water). Follow the descaling product instructions carefully.
• After descaling, rinse the interior thoroughly several times with fresh water.
• Reinsert the scale filter by aligning it with the guides and pushing it down until it clicks into place.
