Introducció

The Brother PT-E105 P-Touch Edge Handheld Industrial Monochrome Label Maker is designed for efficient and precise labeling in various environments, from offices to industrial jobsites. Configuració

1. Power Supply (Batteries / AC Adapter)

The PT-E105 operates on six (6) AAA alkaline batteries (not included) or an optional AC power adapter (sold separately). For portable use, batteries are recommended. For extended use or stationary operation, the AC adapter is recommended.

The PT-E105 uses Brother TZe or HGe tape cassettes. Ensure you have the correct tape size (6mm, 9mm, or 12mm) for your labeling needs.

1. Open the tape compartment cover on the back of the label maker.
2. Insert the tape cassette firmly into the compartment, ensuring it clicks into place. The tape should feed smoothly into the print head.

Turn on the label maker by pressing the Poder button. The LCD screen will display the current settings.

• Typing Text: Use the QWERTY keyboard to enter your desired text. The text will appear on the LCD screen.

2. One-Touch Keys for Specialized Labels

The PT-E105 features dedicated one-touch keys for quick access to common industrial labeling formats:

• Text: Standard text labeling.
• Cable Wrap: Creates labels designed to wrap around cables or wires.
• Cable Flag: Generates flag-style labels for cables, where the label extends out like a flag.
• Placa frontal: Formats labels for faceplates or patch panels.
• Serialize: Allows for automatic serialization of labels, useful for numbering items sequentially.

3. Printing and Cutting

• Preview: Before printing, press the Preview button to see how your label will look on the LCD screen.
• Imprimeix: Premeu el botó Imprimeix button to print the label. The label will exit from the tape output slot.
• Tall: The PT-E105 features an onboard cutting tool for one-handed operation. Once the label is printed to your desired length, press the cutter lever located on the upper right side of the label maker to cut the label.

4. Funció de memòria

The label maker can store up to 9 frequently used labels. This feature saves time and effort for repetitive labeling tasks. Refer to the on-screen menu for instructions on saving and recalling labels.

To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the print head and the tape cutter blade. Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the exterior. For the print head, use a cotton swab moistened with isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the unit is turned off and disconnected from power before cleaning.

When the tape runs out or you wish to change tape types/colors, open the tape compartment cover and remove the old cassette. Insert a new Brother TZe or HGe tape cassette as described in the Setup section.
