1. Introducció

Thank you for choosing the Auriol Wireless Weather Station. This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your device. Please read it thoroughly to ensure proper use and to maximize the functionality of your weather station.

This weather station offers a clear LCD display with blue LED backlight, providing comprehensive weather information including:

• Indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity
• Weather forecast with easy-to-understand icons
• Radio-controlled clock with manual setting option and two alarm functions
• Moon phase display and sunrise/sunset indication
• Barometric pressure graph for the last 12 hours

3.1 Main Unit (Weather Station)

The main unit features a large LCD display for all readings, control buttons on the front or back for settings, and a battery compartment. It is designed for indoor use only.

3.2 Sensor exterior

The compact outdoor sensor transmits temperature and humidity data wirelessly to the main unit. It is protected against splashes (IPX4) and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

4. Configuració

4.1 Inserció de les bateries

Ensure you insert batteries in the correct order to establish proper communication between the main unit and the sensor.

1. Sensor exterior: Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor. Insert the specified alkaline batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
2. Unitat principal: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert the specified alkaline batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment. The display should now light up.

4.2 Col·locació del sensor

For accurate readings and optimal wireless transmission:

• Place the outdoor sensor within a 100-meter range (in open terrain) of the main unit.
• Choose a location that is protected from direct sunlight and heavy rain to ensure longevity and accuracy, despite its IPX4 splash protection.
• Avoid placing the sensor near large metal objects or electrical appliances that could interfere with the wireless signal.

4.3 Sincronització inicial i configuració de l'hora

After battery insertion, the main unit will automatically attempt to synchronize with the outdoor sensor and receive the DCF radio signal for time setting.

• Allow a few minutes for the outdoor temperature/humidity to appear on the display.
• The radio-controlled clock will automatically set the time. If reception is poor, you may need to manually set the time and date (refer to Section 5.2).
• Adjust the time zone if you are not in the central European time zone.

5. Funcionament

5.1 Mostra finalview

The LCD display is divided into several sections, providing a clear overview of all data.

• Secció superior: Weather forecast icons, moon phase, sunrise/sunset indication.
• Secció mitjana: Temperatura i humitat interiors.
• Secció inferior: Outdoor temperature and humidity, radio-controlled time, date, weekday, barometric pressure graph.

5.2 Configuració bàsica

Use the control buttons (usually labeled MODE, SET, UP, DOWN, ALARM) to navigate and adjust settings.

• Hora i data: In time display mode, press and hold the SET button to enter time setting. Use UP/DOWN to adjust values and SET to confirm.
• Idioma: The calendar display supports 8 languages (German, English, Russian, Danish, Dutch, Italian, French, Spanish). Access this setting via the MODE or SET button.
• Unitats de temperatura: Toggle between °C and °F using a dedicated button or through the settings menu.
• Funcions d'alarma: The station features two alarm functions. Press the ALARM button to view and set alarms.

5.3 Previsió meteorològica

The weather station predicts weather conditions based on changes in barometric pressure. The forecast is indicated by graphical icons:

• Sol: Temps clar
• Light Clouds: Partially cloudy
• Núvols: Ennuvolat
• Pluja: Condicions de pluja
• Tempesta: Heavy rain or storm

Note: Weather forecasts are estimations and may not always be 100% accurate.

5.4 Visualització de temperatura i humitat

The station displays both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. The outdoor temperature range is -20°C to 50°C, and the indoor range is 0°C to 50°C. Accuracy is approximately ±1°C.

5.5 Pressió baromètrica

The display shows a barometric pressure graph, indicating pressure trends over the last 12 hours, which is crucial for weather forecasting.

6. Manteniment

6.1 Neteja

To clean the weather station and sensor, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the display or casing.

6.2 Substitució de la bateria

The main unit and outdoor sensor have a low battery indicator. When this appears, replace all batteries simultaneously with new alkaline batteries of the specified type. Ensure correct polarity.

6.3 Emmagatzematge

If the weather station will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries from both units to prevent leakage and store the device in a dry, cool place.

7. Solució De Problemes

If you encounter issues with your weather station, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  Solució: Check if batteries are inserted correctly with the right polarity. Replace with fresh batteries.

  Solució: Ensure the outdoor sensor batteries are fresh and correctly inserted. Check if the sensor is within the 100m range of the main unit and free from major obstructions or interference. Try re-synchronizing by removing and re-inserting batteries in both units.

  Solució: Ensure the weather station is in an area with good DCF radio signal reception. Avoid placing it near electronic devices that might cause interference. If the signal is consistently poor, manually set the time and date. Check the time zone setting.
• Inaccurate weather forecast:
  Solució: Weather forecasts are based on barometric pressure trends and are not always precise. Ensure the station has been operating for at least 12-24 hours to gather sufficient pressure data.
