1. Introducció

The Kangaroo Home Security Motion Sensor is designed to provide an easy and effective way to monitor your home or specific areas within it. This compact device detects motion and sends instant alerts directly to your smartphone, offering peace of mind whether you're at home or away.

It integrates seamlessly with the Kangaroo app, allowing for flexible monitoring options, including a free basic plan or an enhanced complete plan with professional monitoring capabilities.

3. Guia de configuració

Follow these steps to set up your Kangaroo Motion Sensor:

3.1. Download the Kangaroo App

Cerca "Kangaroo Security" in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and download the free Kangaroo App. Create an account or log in if you already have one.

3.2. Activate the Sensor

To activate your sensor and begin the pairing process, gently pull the yellow tab protruding from the battery compartment. This connects the pre-installed battery.

3.3. Pair with the App

Follow the on-screen instructions in the Kangaroo app to pair your sensor. The app will guide you through connecting to the sensor via Wi-Fi for initial setup and configuration.

The app will provide step-by-step guidance for mounting your sensor, including specific instructions for optimal placement based on whether you have pets or not. Use the provided adhesive strips for secure attachment.

No Pet Setup: Place the sensor at a height that allows for broad motion detection across the room.
Pet Parents Setup: Position the sensor at a lower height, typically around 2-3 feet from the floor, to utilize the pet rejection technology and minimize false alarms from small animals.

4. Funcionament

4.1. Armament i desarmament

Control your security system directly from the Kangaroo app. Simply slide the toggle within the app to arm or disarm your home. When armed, the motion sensor will actively monitor for activity.

Upon detecting motion, the sensor will trigger an alert. Depending on your chosen plan (Basic or Complete), you will receive push notifications, text messages, or voice calls to your registered phone. Review the alert details within the app to determine the appropriate action.

4.3. Pet Rejection Technology

The Kangaroo Motion Sensor features intelligent pet rejection technology. When properly installed according to the "Pet Parents Setup" instructions in the app, it can differentiate between human movement and the movement of small pets, significantly reducing false alarms.

5. Manteniment

5.1. Substitució de la bateria

The sensor is powered by one C battery. When the battery level is low, you will receive a notification through the Kangaroo app. To replace the battery, gently slide open the battery compartment, remove the old battery, and insert a new C battery, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.

5.2. Neteja

To maintain optimal performance, periodically wipe the sensor's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the device.

6. Solució De Problemes

Problema	Possible solució
Sensor not connecting to app	Ensure the yellow battery tab has been removed. Check your Wi-Fi connection and ensure it's stable. Restart the sensor by removing and reinserting the battery. Ensure your phone is close to the sensor during pairing.
No motion alerts received	Verify the sensor is armed in the app. Check your phone's notification settings for the Kangaroo app. Ensure the sensor's line of sight is not obstructed. Check battery level in the app.
Falses alarmes freqüents	Review mounting position, especially if you have pets (refer to Section 3.4). Ensure the sensor is not facing direct sunlight, heat sources, or air vents.
