4. Instal·lació i configuració

Before installation, ensure the battery is fully charged and all loads/chargers are ready. The device uses a shunt for current measurement, which must be correctly wired into the circuit.

4.1 Shunt Wiring

  1. Connect Shunt to Battery Negative: Connect the B- terminal of the shunt to the negative terminal of your battery.
  2. Close-up of the shunt with connection terminals.

Figura 4.1: Primer pla view of the shunt, showing the B- and P- terminals.

  3. Connect Load Negative to Shunt: Connect the negative terminal of your load (e.g., DC-DC charger, inverter) to the P- terminal of the shunt.
  4. Connect Load Positive to Battery Positive: Connect the positive terminal of your load to the positive terminal of your battery.
  5. Connect B+ Cable: Connect the ring terminal of the B+ cable to the positive terminal of the battery. Insert the bare wire end of the B+ cable into the B+ terminal on the shunt.
  6. Close-up of the shunt's B+ terminal for the B+ cable connection.

  7. Secure Shunt: Use screws to fix the collection module holder and securely mount the shunt.

4.2 Display Unit Connection

  1. Connect Display to Shunt: Connect the display unit to the shunt using the provided shielded wire. Ensure the connector is firmly seated.
  2. The display unit separated from the shunt, showing the shielded wire connection point.

5.1 Calibratge inicial

Upon first use or after replacing a battery, it is crucial to calibrate the battery capacity for accurate readings. The displayed percentage and capacity values are not actual until calibrated.

  • Calibrate 100% Capacity: Fully charge your battery. Once fully charged, press and hold the Up button for 3 seconds. This sets the battery capacity to 100%.
  • Calibrate 0% Capacity (Lithium Batteries): When a lithium battery's remaining capacity reaches 0%, press and hold the Avall button for 3 seconds. This sets the battery capacity to 0%.

5.2 Navigating Menus and Setting Parameters

Utilitza el Up i Avall buttons to scroll through different display screens and parameters.

  1. Introduïu la configuració: To change parameters, press and hold the OK button for 3 seconds. This will enter the parameter setting mode.
  2. Select Parameter: Utilitza el Up i Avall buttons to select the desired parameter (e.g., CAP for battery capacity, HIGH V for over-voltage protection, LOW V for under-voltage protecció).
  3. Ajusta el valor: When a parameter is selected, its numerical value will flash. Use the Up i Avall botons per augmentar o disminuir el valor.
  4. Guardar i sortir: After setting all desired parameters, press the Left/Back button to save the values and return to the main display screen.

5.3 Funcions de protecció

The device includes several protection functions:

  • OVP (Over Voltage Protecció): Configurable range from 0.01V to 500V.
  • LVP (Low Voltage Protecció): Configurable range from 0.01V to 500V.
  • OCP (Charge Over Current Protection): Configurable range from 0A to 500A.
  • NCP (Discharge Over Current Protection): Configurable range from 0A to 500A.

Quan la bateria voltage or current exceeds the set limits (over-voltage, baixa voltage, over-current), the device's buzzer will sound to alert the user.

6. Manteniment

  • Keep the display unit and shunt clean and free from dust and moisture.
  • Reviseu regularment totes les connexions del cablejat per assegurar-vos que estiguin ben fixades i que no presentin corrosió.
  • Eviteu exposar el dispositiu a temperatures extremes o a la llum solar directa durant períodes prolongats.

7. Solució De Problemes

  • Sense pantalla/alimentació: Ensure all power connections are secure and the battery voltage is within the operating range (6-80V for self-powered, 0-120V with external power). Check the shielded wire connection between the display and shunt.
  • Lectures inexactes: Perform a capacity calibration (Section 5.1). Ensure the shunt is correctly wired in series with the negative line of the circuit. Verify that the B+ cable is correctly connected.
  • Problemes de connexió sense fil: If the display loses connection to the shunt, try moving the display closer to the shunt. Ensure there are no significant obstructions or strong electromagnetic interference. Some users report needing to re-establish connection or change wireless channels (refer to advanced settings if available in your model).
  • Current Not Displaying (Low Current): The device may have a minimum current threshold for display (e.g., some models do not display current below 1A). This is a characteristic of the Hall sensor.
  • Alarma del timbre: If the buzzer sounds, check the display for the active protection (OVP, LVP, OCP, NCP) and address the underlying issue (e.g., over-voltage, baixa voltage, over-current).

8. Garantia i Suport
