2. Instruccions de configuració

Careful planning and installation are crucial for the longevity and performance of your pond. Follow these steps for proper setup.

2.1 Site Selection and Excavation

1. Choose a level area away from large trees to minimize leaf debris and root interference.
2. Mark the desired pond shape and waterfall location.
3. Excavate the pond area, creating shelves for aquatic plants and a deeper section for the pump and fish (if applicable). Ensure the edges are level.

2.2 Underlayment and Liner Installation

4. Remove any sharp objects from the excavated area.
5. Lay the geotextile underlayment evenly over the entire excavated area, overlapping seams by at least 6 inches. This protects the liner from punctures.
6. Carefully unfold and position the EPDM pond liner over the underlayment, ensuring it drapes into all contours of the pond. Minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
7. Secure the edges of the liner temporarily with rocks or soil.

2.3 Skimmer and Waterfall Weir Installation

8. Install the Compact Savio Skimmer at the pond's edge, ensuring the faceplate is at the desired water level. Connect the pond liner to the skimmer faceplate according to the skimmer's specific instructions, creating a watertight seal.
9. Position the Savio F070 16" Waterfall Weir at the highest point of your waterfall design. Connect the pond liner to the weir to create a spillway.

2.4 Pump and Plumbing Connection

10. Place the Water Master Solids 2050 GPH Pump inside the skimmer or at the deepest part of the pond, ensuring it is stable and accessible for maintenance.
11. Connect the provided tubing from the pump's outlet to the Savio F070 Waterfall Weir. Use appropriate clamps to secure all connections.
12. Run the electrical cord from the pump to a GFCI-protected outdoor outlet. Ensure all electrical connections are waterproof and meet local codes.

2.5 Filling and Finishing

13. Begin filling the pond with water. As the pond fills, adjust the liner to remove any remaining large wrinkles.
14. Once the pond is filled to the desired level, trim excess liner, leaving a sufficient overlap to secure with rocks, gravel, or soil around the perimeter.
15. Install the included lights according to their specific instructions, ensuring they are safely submerged or positioned.

The Compact Savio Skimmer will draw surface debris (leaves, pollen) into its basket, preventing it from sinking and decomposing in the pond. Regularly check and empty the skimmer basket.
