1. Introducció

The DIGITNOW 4-in-1 Film & Photo Scanner, Model M122A, is designed to convert various physical media into digital images. This device can scan 35mm/135 slides, negatives, photos, and business cards, saving them as 16-megapixel JPG files. It operates standalone, without requiring a computer for scanning, and includes a 2.4-inch LCD screen for viewing.

4. Configuració

1. Connexió d'alimentació: Connect the power adapter to the DC 5V input port on the scanner and plug it into a power outlet.

5.1. Scanning Films (35mm/135 Negatives & Slides)

This scanner supports 35mm and 135mm negative and positive film.

1. Preparar la pel·lícula: Place your 35mm/135 negative film or positive slides into the appropriate film holder (Negative Film Holder or Positive Slide Holder). Ensure the film/slide is clean and properly aligned within the holder's frame.
2. Insert Holder: Gently insert the loaded film holder into the Film Scanner Slot on the side of the device.
3. Seleccioneu el mode: Use the MODE button to select the correct film type (Negative or Slide) on the LCD screen.
4. Preview: The LCD screen will display a preview of your film. Use the navigation buttons to adjust exposure or color if available and desired.
5. Escaneig: Press the SCAN button to capture the image. The scanner will process the film and save the digital image to the SD card.
6. Repetiu: Remove the scanned film holder, advance the film, or insert the next slide, and repeat the process.

5.2. Scanning Photos & Business Cards

The scanner supports photo sizes including 3.5x5 inches (3R), 4x6 inches (4R), and 5x7 inches (5R), as well as business cards.

1. Prepare Photo/Card: Place your photo or business card onto the Photo Tray. Ensure it is flat and centered within the tray's designated area.
2. Insereix safata: Gently insert the loaded Photo Tray into the Photo Scanner Slot on the top of the device.
3. Seleccioneu el mode: Use the MODE button to select the appropriate photo size or 'Business Card' option on the LCD screen.
4. Preview: The LCD screen will display a preview. Ensure the entire area you wish to scan is visible. Note that the scanner captures what is shown on the 2.4-inch viewer, which may not always be the full original photo if it exceeds the visible area.
5. Escaneig: Press the SCAN button to capture the image. The digital image will be saved to the SD card.
6. Repetiu: Remove the scanned photo tray, replace the photo/card, and repeat the process.

5.3. Transferència Files to Computer (USB Mode)

1. Connexió a l'ordinador: With the scanner powered on, connect it to your computer using the provided USB cable.
2. Select USB Transfer Mode: On the scanner's LCD screen, select the "USB Transfer" or "Mass Storage" option using the navigation buttons and confirm with the ENTER button.
3. Accés Files: Your computer should recognize the scanner as a removable storage device (like a USB drive). You can then access the scanned images stored on the SD card and transfer them to your computer.
4. Desconnecta amb seguretat: After transferring files, safely eject the device from your computer before disconnecting the USB cable.

6.1. Neteja

• Scanner Interior: Use the provided cleaning brush to gently remove dust or debris from the film and photo scanner slots. Ensure the scanner is powered off before cleaning.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the scanner with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Film/Photo Holders: Keep film and photo holders clean to prevent dust transfer to your media.

7. Solució De Problemes

• Images are cut off or not fully scanned: Ensure your film, slide, photo, or business card is correctly positioned within its respective holder or tray. The scanner captures the area visible on the 2.4-inch LCD screen. For photos, ensure the entire desired area fits within the visible frame.
• Photo falls out of holder/tray: Ensure photos are securely placed and are not bowed or warped. If a photo becomes stuck inside the scanner, gently tilt the unit and try to retrieve it through the slot. Avoid forcing it.
• Poca qualitat d'imatge: Check the condition of the original film or photo for dust, scratches, or damage. Ensure the scanner's interior and media holders are clean. Adjust exposure or color settings on the scanner if available.
• Scanner not recognized by computer: Verify that the USB cable is securely connected to both the scanner and the computer. Ensure "USB Transfer" or "Mass Storage" mode is selected on the scanner's LCD screen. Try a different USB port or cable if necessary.
• L'escàner no s'encén: Check that the power adapter is correctly connected to the scanner and a working power outlet.
