1. Introducció

The JB-systems B4.2 Mediamix is a versatile media player and mixer designed for professional audio applications. It integrates a media player capable of reading USB drives and SD cards, an FM radio tuner, and a Bluetooth receiver, all within a compact 1U rack-mountable chassis. This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your B4.2 Mediamix unit.

2. Instruccions de seguretat importants

4. Controls i connexions del panell frontal

4.1. Detailed Controls

• MIC Input (1/4" Jack): Connect a microphone here.
• Nivell MIC: Adjusts the input level of the microphone.
• MIC EQ (High/Low): Tone controls for the microphone input.
• AUX LINE Input (1/8" Jack): Auxiliary stereo input for external devices.
• LINE 1/2 Level: Adjusts the input level for Line 1 and Line 2.

5. Connexions del panell posterior

The rear panel houses all the input and output connections for integrating the B4.2 Mediamix into your audio system.

5.1. Detailed Connections

• AC MAINS Input: Connexió d'alimentació per a la unitat.
• MASTER 1/2 Outputs (Balanced XLR & Unbalanced RCA): Main audio outputs to connect to ampelevadors o altaveus alimentats.

6. Configuració i instal·lació

6.1. Muntatge en bastidor

The B4.2 Mediamix is designed for standard 19-inch rack mounting. Secure the unit using appropriate rack screws through the mounting ears on both sides of the front panel. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

6.2. Connexió d'alimentació

1. Assegureu-vos que l'interruptor d'alimentació de la unitat estigui en la posició OFF.
2. Connect the supplied AC power cable to the AC MAINS input on the rear panel.
3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a suitable 230 Volt AC power outlet.

6.3. Connexions d'àudio

1. Fonts d'entrada: Connect your external audio sources (e.g., CD players, laptops) to the LINE 1 or LINE 2 RCA inputs on the rear panel. For microphones, use either the front panel 1/4" jack or the rear panel XLR input.
2. Sortides: Connect the MASTER 1 and/or MASTER 2 outputs (XLR for balanced, RCA for unbalanced) to your amplifier, powered speakers, or main sound system. Use the REC output for connecting to a recording device.

6.4. Connexions d'antena

1. Screw the supplied FM antenna to the FM ANTENNA connector on the rear panel. Extend the antenna for optimal reception.
2. Screw the supplied Bluetooth antenna to the BLUETOOTH ANTENNA connector on the rear panel.

7. Instruccions de funcionament

7.1. Encès / apagat

Press the power button on the front panel to turn the unit ON or OFF. The POWER LED will illuminate when the unit is on.

7.2. Media Player (USB/SD)

1. Insert a USB drive into the USB slot or an SD card into the SD card slot on the front panel.
2. Premeu el botó FONT button until 'USB' or 'SD' is displayed.
3. La unitat començarà a reproduir automàticament àudio compatible files.
4. Utilitza el SEQ buttons (Play/Pause, Next/Previous) to control playback.
5. Premeu el botó MODE button to cycle through playback modes (e.g., repeat one, repeat all, random).

7.3. Funcionament Bluetooth

1. Premeu el botó FONT button until 'BT' (Bluetooth) is displayed. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing 'BT' on the display.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), search for available Bluetooth devices.
3. Select 'B4.2 Mediamix' from the list to pair. Once paired, the 'BT' indicator will become solid.
4. You can now play audio from your device through the B4.2 Mediamix.

7.4. Ràdio FM

1. Premeu el botó FONT fins que aparegui «FM».
2. Utilitza el SEQ buttons to manually tune to a station or press and hold to auto-scan for stations.
3. Stations can be saved as presets using the remote control.

7.5. Entrada de micròfon

1. Connect your microphone to either the front or rear MIC input.

7.6. Mixer Functions

• Media Player Transport Control: Play, Pause, Next Track, Previous Track.
• FM Radio Presets (1-9): Directly select saved FM stations.
• MEDIA / RADIO Buttons: Navigate between media player and radio modes.

8. Manteniment

• Neteja: Regularly wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays.
• Ventilació: Ensure that the ventilation openings are free from dust and debris to maintain proper airflow.
• Emmagatzematge: Si guardeu la unitat durant un període prolongat, desconnecteu-la de l'alimentació i guardeu-la en un lloc fresc i sec, allunyat de la llum solar directa i de temperatures extremes.

9. Guia de resolució de problemes

• Sense energia:
  • Check if the power cable is securely connected to the unit and the power outlet.
  • Assegureu-vos que la presa de corrent funcioni.
  • Verify the power switch on the front panel is in the ON position.
• Sense sortida de so:
  • Check all audio cable connections to and from the unit.
  • Ensure the correct input source is selected using the FONT botó.
  • Comproveu que el Nivell MÀSTER knobs are turned up.
  • Check the volume levels on your connected amplifier o altaveus alimentats.
