  • Seguretat elèctrica: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug. Do not abuse the cord. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
  • Seguretat personal: Always wear eye protection. Use hearing protection when operating the tool. Wear a dust mask if working in dusty conditions. Dress properly; avoid loose clothing or jewelry.
  • Ús i cura de l'eina: No forceu l'eina elèctrica. Feu servir l'eina elèctrica adequada per a la vostra aplicació. Desconnecteu l'endoll de la font d'alimentació abans de fer qualsevol ajust, canviar accessoris o guardar eines elèctriques.
  • Embragatge de seguretat: This tool is equipped with a safety clutch designed to protect the user's wrist from injury by reducing sudden high torque reactions if the drill bit jams.
  • Sistema de control de vibracions: The enhanced Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) is designed to reduce vibrations, minimizing user fatigue during extended operation.

4. Configuració

4.1 Fixació de la nansa auxiliar

The auxiliary handle can be rotated 360 degrees to suit various working positions. Loosen the handle clamp, adjust the handle to the desired position, and then securely tighten the clamp.

4.2 Installing SDS-Max Bits

  1. Clean the shank of the SDS-Max bit and apply a small amount of grease to it.
  2. Pull back the SDS-Max tool-free system collar.
  3. Insert the bit into the chuck until it locks into place. Release the collar.
  4. Pull on the bit to ensure it is securely seated. The SDS-Max system allows for slight axial movement of the bit, which is normal and necessary for hammer action.

4.3 Using the SDS Max to SDS Plus Adaptor Chuck

For SDS-Plus bits, attach the provided SDS Max to SDS Plus Adaptor Chuck into the SDS-Max tool-free system as described above. Then, insert SDS-Plus bits into the adaptor chuck.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Selecció del mode de funcionament

The 3 Function Knob allows you to select the appropriate mode for your task. Rotate the knob to align with the desired icon.

3 Function Knob for Berserker Rotary Hammer Drill

Figura 5.1: The 3 Function Knob allows selection between Chisel Position Adjustment, Hammer Only, and Rotary Hammer modes.

  • Rotary Hammer Mode (Drilling with Hammer Action): For drilling in concrete, brick, and masonry. This mode combines rotation and hammering for efficient material removal.
  • Hammer Only Mode (Chiseling/Demolition): For chiseling, chipping, and demolition work. The bit will not rotate in this mode, only hammer.
  • Chisel Position Adjustment: Allows you to rotate the chisel to the desired angle before locking it in the Hammer Only mode.

5.2 Control de velocitat variable

The tool features a 6-speed variable control. Adjust the speed according to the material and the specific task. Lower speeds are generally used for larger diameter bits or tougher materials, while higher speeds are suitable for smaller bits or softer materials.

5.3 Drilling and Demolition

Apply firm, steady pressure. Allow the tool to do the work; excessive force can reduce efficiency and damage the tool or bit. The 7.38 ft.lbs (10 Joules) of impact energy ensures rapid drilling and chipping in various hard materials.

6. Manteniment

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your tool. Always disconnect the tool from the power source before performing any maintenance.

6.1 Neteja

After each use, clean the tool with a soft cloth to remove dust and debris. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Keep ventilation openings clear to prevent overheating.

6.2 Lubrication (External Grease Filler)

The tool features an external grease filler for convenient lubrication. Periodically check and replenish the grease as needed to ensure smooth operation of the hammering mechanism. Use only recommended grease types for rotary hammer drills.

6.3 Substitució de les escombretes de carbó

The carbon brushes are consumable parts and will wear down over time. When the tool's performance decreases or it stops working, the carbon brushes may need replacement. The tool is designed with easily replaceable carbon brushes. Refer to the product overview image for the location of the replaceable carbon brush cover. Replace both brushes at the same time with genuine Berserker replacement parts.
