Configuració

1. Instal·lació i càrrega de la bateria

The AST300PPM comes with a pre-installed Lithium-Ion battery. Before first use, ensure the battery is fully charged. Connect the provided AC wall charger or DC car charger to the device's charging port. The charging indicator on the device will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes a few hours. The device can be operated while charging.

2. Engegada inicial

Press and hold the Power button (refer to the Operating section for button locations) until the display illuminates. The device will perform a brief self-test. Once the main screen appears, the device is ready for operation.

Leak Detection Process

1. Encès: Turn on the device using the Power button. Allow it to warm up and stabilize.

   • PPM Mode: Displays the concentration of refrigerant in parts per million. Ideal for quantifying leak size.
   • Automatic Zero Mode: The device automatically zeros itself to the ambient air, making it suitable for general scanning.
   • Manual Zero Mode: Allows you to manually set the zero point in a known clean air environment for precise pinpointing.
3. Escaneja per detectar fuites: Slowly move the probe tip around suspected leak areas. The PPM display will increase, and the audible alarm will intensify as you approach a leak source.
4. Pinpoint the Leak: Once a general area is identified, switch to a more sensitive mode or use the Manual Zero function in a clean area near the leak to pinpoint the exact source. The device's "Cloud Hunting" mode helps find the area of highest concentration, then switch to pinpoint mode for precision.

Manteniment

1. Infrared Sensor Replacement

The infrared sensor is a critical component and is designed for easy field replacement. When the sensor's performance degrades or it reaches its end of life, replace it with a genuine Inficon replacement sensor. Refer to the device's specific instructions for sensor access and replacement. This process typically involves opening a compartment and carefully swapping the sensor module.
