3. Llista de components

4. Configuració i instal·lació

The XtremepowerUS sand filter pump is designed for quick and simple installation, typically taking less than 5 minutes for initial setup.

1. Posicionament: Place the filter and pump unit on a firm, level surface near your above-ground pool. Ensure it is within reach of a grounded electrical outlet.
2. Sand Filling: Carefully fill the sand filter tank with the recommended amount of pool filter sand (approximately 110 pounds for the 16-inch model). Ensure the standpipe is centered during this process.
3. Multi-Port Valve Installation: Attach the 4-way multi-port valve to the top of the sand filter tank. Secure it firmly according to the instructions provided with the valve.
4. Connexions de mànega: Connect the hoses from your pool's skimmer and return lines to the appropriate ports on the multi-port valve and pump. Use the provided clamps to ensure secure and leak-free connections.
5. Connexió de la bomba: Connect the pump to the multi-port valve. The pump is a capacitor start type and comes with a standard 3-prong plug.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

The 4-way multi-port valve allows for various operational modes to manage your pool's filtration and maintenance needs.

5.1 Multi-Port Valve Functions:

• FILTRE: This is the standard operating mode for daily filtration. Water is pumped through the sand filter, trapping debris, and returned to the pool.
• CONTRENAT: Used to clean the sand filter. Water flows in reverse through the filter, flushing trapped debris out through the waste port. Perform backwashing when the pressure gauge reading increases by 8-10 PSI above its clean operating pressure.
• ESbandida: Used after backwashing to flush out any remaining dirty water from the valve and lines before returning to FILTER mode.
• RECIRCULAR: Circulates water through the pool without passing it through the filter. Useful for distributing chemicals quickly.
• RESIDUS: Drains water directly from the pool through the waste port, bypassing the filter. Useful for lowering pool water level or vacuuming heavy debris directly to waste.
• TANCAT: Shuts off all flow to the filter and pump. Use this setting when performing maintenance or cleaning the pump strainer basket.
• L'HIVERN: Prepares the system for winter storage, typically used for draining the filter.

5.2 Timer Operation:

The pump features a built-in 24-hour timer for energy-saving performance. You can set the pump to run for specific durations (2h, 4h, 6h, 8h, 10h, 12h, 16h, 24h) to optimize filtration cycles and reduce energy consumption.

6. Manteniment

Un manteniment regular garanteix la longevitat i el rendiment òptim de la bomba de filtre de sorra.

• Rentat a contracorrent: Backwash the filter regularly, typically when the pressure gauge indicates an increase of 8-10 PSI from its clean operating pressure, or when water clarity decreases. Follow the BACKWASH and RINSE procedures on the multi-port valve.
• Neteja de la cistella del colador: Periodically check and clean the pump's strainer basket to remove large debris that could impede flow. Ensure the pump is OFF and unplugged before opening the strainer lid.
• Substitució de sorra: Pool filter sand typically needs to be replaced every 3-5 years, depending on usage and water quality.
• Hivernant: Before freezing temperatures, ensure the system is properly drained and winterized according to the "WINTER" setting on the multi-port valve and general pool winterization guidelines.
