Guia de configuració

2. Insert Hard Drives/SSDs:

A. Connecting to a Computer (PC Mode)

When connected to a computer via USB, the ORICO 5 Bay Docking Station functions as an external multi-bay enclosure. It can read multiple disks simultaneously, allowing you to access and manage data on all inserted drives. The device supports hot-swapping, meaning you can insert or remove drives without powering down the docking station, provided no data transfer is actively occurring on the drive being removed.

The docking station is compatible with a wide range of operating systems, including Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10, Linux, and Mac OS 9.1/10.2 or higher. No additional drivers are typically required for basic functionality; it operates as plug-and-play.

B. Offline Clone Function

The offline clone function allows you to duplicate data from a source disk to one or more target disks without needing a computer. This is ideal for creating backups or migrating data to new drives.

Offline Clone Steps:

1. Prepare Disks: Insert the Source Disk into the designated "Source" hard drive bay (usually the first bay). Then, insert the Target Disk(s) into the remaining "Target" bays.
2. Set Clone Mode: Push the PC/CLONE switch located on the back of the docking station to the "CLONE" side.
3. Connectar l'alimentació: Ensure the power supply is connected and press the POWER switch to turn on the device.
4. Iniciar clon: Press and hold the "START" button on the back of the device for approximately 3-5 seconds until the blue LED indicators begin to flash.
5. Supervisar el progrés: A blue LED will flash, indicating the cloning process has begun. The progress is shown by percentage indicators (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%).
6. Finalització: The cloning process is complete when ALL the percentage indicator lights turn solid blue.
7. Power Off and Eject: Once cloning is complete, press the POWER switch to turn off the device, then safely eject your drives.

Notes importants per a la clonació fora de línia:

• The Target Disk(s) must have a capacity equal to or greater than the Source Disk.
• Please back up any important files on the Target Disk(s) before initiating the clone. All data on the Target Disk(s) will be overwritten during the offline cloning process.
• To prevent data loss or corruption, do not remove or insert drives while a drive is actively working or during the cloning process. Always power off the docking station before removing drives.
