1. Introducció

Featuring CAT12 LTE for high-speed data transfer, dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11ac), GNSS/GPS capabilities, and Bluetooth, the RUTX14 provides robust networking solutions for various environments. This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, configuration, and operation of your RUTX14 router.

2. Informació de seguretat

• Mobile Antenna Connectors (MAIN/AUX): For connecting cellular antennas.
• GPS Antenna Connector: For connecting a GNSS/GPS antenna.

5. Instal·lació de maquinari

5.1. Instal·lació de la targeta SIM

1. Locate the SIM card slots on the front panel.
2. Using a SIM ejector tool or a paperclip, press the small button next to the SIM slot to open the tray.
3. Insert your activated Nano-SIM card(s) into the tray(s) with the gold contacts facing down.
4. Empenyeu suaument la safata cap enrere a la ranura fins que encaixi al seu lloc.

5.2. Connexió d'antena

Connect the provided antennas to their respective connectors on the device:

• Antenes mòbils: Connect the four cellular antennas to the 'MOBILE MAIN' and 'MOBILE AUX' connectors.
• Antenes WiFi: Connect the two Wi-Fi antennas to the 'WiFi' connectors.
• Antena GNSS: Connect the GPS antenna to the 'GPS' connector.
• Antena Bluetooth: Connect the Bluetooth antenna to the 'BT' connector.

Ensure all antennas are securely tightened by hand.

5.3. Connexió d'alimentació

1. Connect the 4-pin power adapter to the power socket on the front panel.
2. Connect the other end of the power adapter to a suitable power source (9-50 VDC).
3. The PWR LED should illuminate, indicating the device is receiving power.

5.4. Posada a terra

For enhanced safety and protection against electrical surges, connect a grounding wire to the grounding screw on the side panel and to a proper earth ground.

6. Configuració inicial

6.1. Accedint al Web Interfície d'usuari (WebIU)

1. Connect your computer to one of the RUTX14's LAN ports using an Ethernet cable.
2. Obre a web navegador i introduïu l'adreça IP predeterminada: 192.168.1.1
3. You will be prompted for login credentials. The default username is admin. The default password is usually found on a sticker on the device or in the Quick Start Guide.
4. Upon successful login, you will access the WebInterfície d'usuari per a la configuració.

6.2. Configuració bàsica

Follow the on-screen setup wizard or navigate through the WebUI to configure essential settings:

• Configuració de la WAN: Configure your primary internet connection (e.g., cellular APN settings, Ethernet WAN).
• Configuració LAN: Adjust the local network IP range if necessary.
• Configuració de Wi-Fi: Set up your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

7. Operating the RUTX14

7.1. Comprensió dels indicadors LED

Monitor the front panel LEDs to understand the router's operational status:

• PWR: Solid green indicates power on.
• SIM1/SIM2: Indicates active SIM card and network registration.
• 3G/4G: Indicates cellular network type (3G or 4G LTE).
• Intensitat del senyal: Multiple LEDs indicate the strength of the cellular signal. More LEDs lit means stronger signal.
• WiFi (2.4/5): Indicates Wi-Fi activity on the respective band.
• ETH/LAN/WAN: Indica l'estat i l'activitat de l'enllaç Ethernet.

7.2. LTE Failover

The RUTX14 supports automatic LTE failover, ensuring continuous internet connectivity. If the primary WAN connection (e.g., Ethernet) fails, the router can automatically switch to the cellular LTE connection. This feature is configured within the WebUI under Network > WAN settings.

7.3. GNSS/GPS Functionality

With the connected GNSS antenna, the RUTX14 can provide precise location data. This functionality is accessible and configurable through the WebUI, enabling applications such as fleet tracking or asset management.

7.4. Connectivitat Bluetooth

The integrated Bluetooth module allows for short-range wireless communication with compatible devices, enabling various IoT and industrial applications. Configuration options are available in the WebIU.

8. Manteniment

8.1. Actualitzacions de firmware

Regularly check for and install firmware updates to ensure optimal performance, security, and access to new features. Firmware updates can be performed via the WebUI under System > Firmware.

8.2. Restabliment de fàbrica

If you encounter persistent issues or forget your login credentials, you can perform a factory reset. Press and hold the RESET button for approximately 10 seconds while the device is powered on. This will revert all settings to their default values.

8.3. Neteja

Feu servir un drap suau i sec per netejar l'exterior del dispositiu. No utilitzeu netejadors líquids ni dissolvents.

9. Solució De Problemes

• Sense energia: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the power outlet is functional. Check the PWR LED.
• Sense connexió a Internet:
  • Verify SIM card is correctly inserted and activated.
  • Check cellular signal strength LEDs.
  • Confirmeu la configuració de l'APN a la WebUI are correct.
  • If using Ethernet WAN, ensure the cable is connected and the upstream device is working.
• No es pot accedir WebIU:
  • Assegureu-vos que l'ordinador estigui connectat a un port LAN.
  • Verifiqueu que la configuració IP de l'ordinador estigui configurada per obtenir una adreça IP automàticament (DHCP).
  • Confirm you are using the correct IP address (192.168.1.1) and credentials.
  • Prova d'esborrar la memòria cau del navegador o utilitza un altre navegador.
• Velocitats lentes:
  • Check cellular signal strength and try repositioning antennas.
  • Assegureu-vos que cap altre dispositiu estigui consumint un ample de banda excessiu.
  • Verify your cellular data plan limits.
