2. Configuració i primer ús

  2. Hand-wash the pitcher, lid, and reservoir with mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.

2.2 Filter Preparation and Installation

  1. Remove the new Brita Standard filter from its packaging.
  2. Rinse the filter under cold tap water for 15 seconds.
  3. Insert the filter firmly into the reservoir until it creates a tight seal. Ensure the longest slot on the filter faces the handle.
  4. Place the reservoir with the installed filter into the pitcher.
  5. Attach the lid to the pitcher.

2.3 Activating the SmartLight Filter Indicator

  1. On the lid, locate the 'Filter Life' indicator button.
  2. Press and hold the 'RESET' button for 2 seconds until a green light flashes. This indicates the filter life has been reset for a Standard filter. (For LongLast filters, hold for 6 seconds).

3. Instruccions de funcionament

3.1 Filling the Pitcher

  1. Open the easy-fill locking lid.
  2. Place the pitcher under a cold water tap.
  3. Fill the reservoir with tap water. The water will filter through to the main pitcher compartment. Do not overfill past the maximum fill line.

3.2 Pouring Filtered Water

Once the water has filtered through to the main pitcher, it is ready to be poured. The pitcher's design allows for easy pouring without spills.

4. Manteniment

4.1 Substitució del filtre

The SmartLight filter indicator will flash red when it is time to replace your filter. For optimal performance, replace your Standard filter after 40 gallons or approximately every two months. If using an Elite filter, replace after 120 gallons or about every six months.

  1. Remove the lid and the old filter from the reservoir.
  2. Descartar el filtre antic.
  3. Prepare and install a new Brita filter as described in Section 2.2.
  4. Reset the SmartLight filter indicator as described in Section 2.3.

4.2 Cleaning the Pitcher

The pitcher, lid, and reservoir should be hand-washed regularly with mild detergent and rinsed thoroughly. Do not wash the filter in a dishwasher.

5. Solució De Problemes

5.1 Slow Filtration

If water filters very slowly, ensure the filter is properly seated in the reservoir. If the issue persists, the filter may be clogged and require replacement.

5.2 Unfiltered Water Dispensing

If unfiltered water is dispensing, check that the filter is securely installed and that the reservoir is correctly positioned within the pitcher. A loose filter or improperly seated reservoir can allow water to bypass the filtration system.

5.3 Lid or Handle Issues

Ensure all parts of the pitcher are assembled correctly. If the lid or handle components appear damaged or do not fit securely, contact customer support for assistance.
