This smart adaptor features multiple switching states for versatile use and includes built-in safety features like reverse polarity protection and an in-line fuse.

Configuració i instal·lació

Follow these steps to properly install your Quad Lock Waterproof 12V to USB Smart Adaptor:

1. La seguretat primer: Before beginning installation, ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected to prevent electrical shorts or damage.
2. Connecteu-vos a la font d'alimentació:
   • If connecting to a battery, use the provided 1m SAE to ring terminal cable. Connect the ring terminals to the positive (+) and negative (-) battery posts. Ensure correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative). The in-line fuse provides protection.
   • If connecting to an existing SAE connector, simply plug the 10cm SAE cable from the Smart Adaptor into it.

3. Mount the Adaptor: Secure the Smart Adaptor unit in a suitable, protected location using the provided zip ties. Ensure it is away from moving parts, excessive heat, and direct water spray, although it is IP66 rated.

4. Connect Charging Head: Plug your Quad Lock Weatherproof Wireless Charging Head (or other USB-A powered device) into the USB-A female port of the Smart Adaptor. Use the provided USB-A sealing boot to protect the connection from water and dust.
5. Torneu a connectar la bateria: Once all connections are secure and the adaptor is mounted, reconnect your vehicle's battery.

The Smart Adaptor features a toggle switch with three positions: ON, OFF, and AUTO. Understand each mode for optimal use:

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Quad Lock Waterproof 12V to USB Smart Adaptor, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Inspecció periòdica: Periodically check all cable connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion. Ensure the USB-A sealing boot is properly seated to maintain water resistance.
