1. Introducció

The Theben DIMAX 540 plus B is an ultra-compact, flush-mounted mini dimmer designed for controlling dimmable LED and halogen lamps. Its small size allows for easy installation behind standard push-button switches, making it ideal for retrofitting and renovations. This dimmer operates without a neutral conductor, simplifying wiring. It features optimized settings for LEDs, adjustable minimum brightness, and a memory function to recall the last light setting.

4. Configuració i instal·lació

Follow these steps for safe and correct installation of your DIMAX 540 plus B mini dimmer:

1. Desconnecteu l'alimentació: Before starting any electrical work, switch off the main power supply at the circuit breaker to avoid electric shock.
2. Prepare Installation Location: The dimmer is designed for flush-mounted installation behind a standard push-button switch in a wall box. Ensure there is sufficient space (dimensions: 25.5 x 26.4 x 10.4 mm).
3. Connexions de cablejat:

4. Secure the Dimmer: Carefully place the dimmer module into the wall box behind the push-button switch. Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.
5. Optional LED Compensation Module: For optimal performance with certain LED lamps and to prevent flickering at low brightness levels, consider installing the optional LED compensation module (Theben item no. 9070825). Refer to the compensation module's instructions for installation.

6. Restaura l'alimentació: Un cop finalitzada la instal·lació i totes les connexions siguin segures, restableu l'alimentació a l'interruptor.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

The DIMAX 540 plus B dimmer is controlled via a standard push-button switch:

• Encendre/apagar: A short press (less than 0.4 seconds) of the push-button will switch the light on or off.
• Dimecres: Press and hold the push-button to dim the light. The brightness will continuously increase or decrease. Release the button when the desired brightness is reached.
• 100% brillantor: A quick double-click (two short presses within 0.4 seconds) will set the light to 100% luminous intensity.
• Funció de memòria: The dimmer automatically saves the last set brightness level. When the light is switched on again, it will return to this stored brightness.
• Configuració de la brillantor mínima: To adjust the minimum brightness level (useful for preventing LED flickering at very low settings), press the push-button five times quickly. The light will then enter a programming mode where you can adjust the minimum level by pressing and holding. Once set, a short press will save the setting.

6. Manteniment

The Theben DIMAX 540 plus B mini dimmer is designed for maintenance-free operation. No user-serviceable parts are inside the device.

• Neteja: If necessary, gently wipe the surface of the push-button switch (not the dimmer module itself) with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
