The XM8500 is a dynamic vocal microphone designed for clear voice projection in live performance and recording applications. It features a cardioid pickup pattern to minimize background noise and feedback, a smooth mid-frequency presence rise, and an ultra-wide frequency response. The microphone includes a shock mount system to reduce handling noise and an integrated spherical wind and pop noise filter.

5. Guia de configuració
5.1 UMC404HD Driver Installation (Windows/macOS)
Before connecting the UMC404HD, it is recommended to install the latest drivers from the official Behringer website. For macOS, the interface is typically class-compliant and may not require specific drivers, but checking for updates is always advised. For Windows, driver installation is usually necessary for optimal performance.

5.2 Connecting the UMC404HD
Connect the UMC404HD to your computer using the supplied USB cable. The interface will draw power from the USB connection.

5.3 Connecting the XM8500 Microphone

Connect an XLR cable (not included) from the XM8500 microphone to one of the XLR inputs (INPUT 1-4) on the front panel of the UMC404HD.
The XM8500 is a dynamic microphone and does not require phantom power. Ensure the +48V phantom power switch on the UMC404HD is OFF when using dynamic microphones to prevent potential damage or noise.
6. Instruccions de funcionament
6.1 UMC404HD Controls and Indicators
INPUT 1-4 (Combo XLR/TRS): Connect microphones via XLR or line/instrument level sources via 1/4" TRS.
PAD Button: Attenuates the input signal by 20 dB for very loud sources. Engage if the CLIP indicator lights up frequently.
INST Button: Switches the 1/4" input to instrument level for direct connection of guitars or basses.
GAIN 1-4: Adjusts the input level for each channel. Set to achieve a strong signal without clipping (CLIP LED).
LED SIG/CLIP:SIG (green) indicates signal presence. CLIP (red) indicates the input signal is too hot and causing distortion. Reduce gain if CLIP LED illuminates.
Interruptor de +48 V: Engages phantom power for condenser microphones. Ensure this is OFF for dynamic microphones like the XM8500.
Botó MIX: Blends the direct input signal (IN) with the computer playback signal (PB) for direct monitoring.

Create a new audio track and select the corresponding UMC404HD input channel for your microphone.

7. Manteniment
