This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new coffee maker. This appliance is designed to prepare espresso coffee and froth milk, featuring an 850W heating element and 15 bar pressure for optimal extraction. It includes a removable water tank and drip tray for easy cleaning.

Configuració

1. Desembalatge: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all parts are present. Keep packaging for future transport or storage.
2. Neteja inicial: Before first use, wash the water tank, portafilter, filter basket, and drip tray in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp tela.
3. Posicionament: Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and heat. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
4. Omplir el dipòsit d'aigua: Remove the water tank from the back of the machine (refer to Figure 4). Fill it with fresh, cold water up to the 'MAX' line. Do not exceed the 'MAX' line. Replace the water tank securely.
5. Cicle de primer ús (primació): Before brewing coffee, run a cycle without coffee to prime the system. Ensure the water tank is filled. Place a cup under the brewing head. Turn the machine ON. Once the indicator light shows it's ready, press the coffee brewing button to dispense hot water. Repeat this process for the steam function as well, allowing steam to release for a few seconds. This cleans the internal components and prepares the machine for use.

Elaboració d'espresso

1. Prepareu el portafiltre: Insert the desired filter basket (single or double shot) into the portafilter. Add finely ground espresso coffee to the filter basket. Use the coffee scoop (Figure 6) to measure.
2. Tamp el cafè: Use the flat end of the coffee scoop to tamp the ground coffee firmly and evenly. Wipe any excess coffee from the rim of the portafilter.
3. Connecteu el portafiltre: Align the portafilter with the brewing head and insert it. Turn the handle firmly to the right until it is securely locked in place (refer to Figure 3).

5. Preescalfament: Turn the machine ON. Allow the machine to preheat until the indicator light signals it is ready for brewing. This typically takes a few minutes.

7. Fer cafè: Press the coffee brewing button. Hot water will be pumped through the ground coffee. Once the desired amount of espresso is dispensed, press the button again to stop the flow.

Using the Steam Wand / Milk Frother

2. Activa la funció Steam: Turn the machine ON and select the steam function. Wait for the indicator light to show that the steam function is ready.

4. Escuma de llet: Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Open the steam knob slowly. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam. For heating without much foam, immerse the wand deeper.
5. Atura el vapor: Once the milk reaches the desired temperature and texture, close the steam knob and remove the pitcher.

Neteja diària

Descalcificació

Regular descaling is crucial to maintain optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your coffee maker. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage, but generally every 2-3 months.

• Feu servir una solució descalcificadora comercial adequada per a màquines de cafè, seguint les instruccions del fabricant.
• Mix the descaling solution with water in the water tank according to the product's instructions.
• Run several brewing cycles without coffee until the water tank is empty.
• Run several cycles with fresh water to rinse the system thoroughly.
• Perform a final rinse by running a full tank of fresh water through the steam wand.
