5. Configuració
5.1 Mounting the Grinder
For safe operation, the bench grinder must be securely mounted to a workbench or stand. Use appropriate bolts, nuts, and washers (not always included) through the mounting holes in the base.
- Position the grinder on a stable, level surface.
- Mark the locations for drilling through the base holes.
- Drill appropriate holes and secure the grinder using suitable fasteners.
5.2 Attaching Eye Shields and Tool Rests
Attach the eye shields and tool rests as shown in the product overview. Ensure they are securely fastened and adjusted for optimal protection and support.
- Install the eye shields using the provided screws and nuts. Adjust their position to protect your eyes from sparks and debris.
- Attach the tool rests, ensuring they are positioned approximately 1.5mm (1/16 inch) from the grinding wheel surface. This gap should be maintained to prevent workpieces from jamming.
- Install spark deflectors, if separate, to further minimize spark exposure.

6.1 Abans de començar

6.2 Inici i aturada
- To start the grinder, press the ON (I) button on the power switch.
- Allow the wheels to reach full speed before beginning any grinding operation.
- To stop the grinder, press the OFF (O) button on the power switch.
- Wait for the wheels to come to a complete stop before leaving the machine unattended.

- Apply light, even pressure to the workpiece against the grinding wheel. Avoid excessive force, which can damage the wheel or motor.

- Install the new wheel, ensuring it is the correct size and type for your grinder. Place the flanges and spacers back in the correct order.
- Tighten the nut securely, but do not overtighten.
- Reassemble the wheel guard, eye shield, and tool rest.
- Before use, perform a test run for a minute to ensure the wheel runs smoothly without wobble.
7.3 Wheel Dressing
Over time, grinding wheels can become glazed or out of round. Use a wheel dresser (sold separately) to restore the wheel's cutting surface and shape.
