5. Configuració i instal·lació

Proper installation is crucial for the system's performance and safety. Ensure the installation site is level, well-drained, and protected from direct weather exposure.

5.1. Muntatge

1. Posicionar la base: Place the base plate on a firm, level surface near your pool.
2. Muntar el tanc: Secure the sand filter tank onto the base plate.
3. Afegir material filtrant: Before adding sand, ensure the standpipe and laterals inside the tank are properly positioned. Fill the tank approximately halfway with water to cushion the laterals, then carefully add the specified amount of pool filter sand (approximately 42 lbs for this 13-inch tank). Ensure the sand level is below the top of the standpipe.

4. Install Multi-Port Valve: Carefully place the multi-port valve onto the tank, aligning it with the standpipe. Secure the valve to the tank using the provided clamp and hardware. Ensure a tight seal.

5. Connecteu la bomba: Position the pump on the base plate next to the filter tank. Connect the pump's discharge port to the multi-port valve's "PUMP" inlet using the provided hose and clamps.
6. Connect Pool Hoses: Connect the pool's skimmer line to the pump's intake. Connect the multi-port valve's "RETURN" port to the pool's return line. Connect a backwash hose to the "WASTE" port. Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free.

5.2. Aclarint la bomba

Before starting the pump, it is essential to prime it to prevent damage:

1. Ensure the pool water level is adequate.
2. Open all suction and return valves on the pool.
3. Fill the pump's strainer basket with water until it overflows. Replace the lid securely.
4. Set the multi-port valve to the CONTRACTACIÓ posició.
5. Turn on the pump. Water should begin to flow from the waste port. Run for 1-2 minutes or until water runs clear.

6. Instruccions de funcionament

The multi-port valve controls the flow of water through the filter system. Always turn off the pump before changing the valve position to prevent damage.

6.1. Multi-Port Valve Functions

• FILTRE: Normal filtration mode. Water flows through the sand bed, is filtered, and returned to the pool.
• CONTRENAT: Cleans the filter by reversing water flow, flushing trapped debris out the waste port.
• ESbandida: Used after backwashing to flush residual dirt from the valve and settle the sand bed before returning to FILTER mode. Water exits the waste port.
• RESIDUS: Bypasses the filter, sending water directly out the waste port. Useful for vacuuming heavy debris directly to waste or lowering pool water level.
• RECIRCULAR: Bypasses the filter, circulating water directly back to the pool. Useful for chemical distribution without filtering.
• CLOSED/WINTER: Shuts off flow to the filter. Used for servicing the pump or filter, or for winterizing. Never operate the pump with the valve in the CLOSED position.

6.2. Funcionament normal

Set the multi-port valve to FILTRE. Turn on the pump. Monitor the pressure gauge. The initial clean filter pressure should be noted. Run the filter system for several hours daily to maintain clear pool water.

7. Manteniment

7.1. Backwashing

Backwash the filter when the pressure gauge reads 8-10 PSI above the clean filter pressure, or when pool water appears cloudy. This indicates the sand bed is saturated with debris.

7.3. Hivernant

Before freezing temperatures, drain all water from the pump, filter, and plumbing. Set the multi-port valve to the L'HIVERN or TANCAT position (if available) or remove the valve and store it indoors. Store the pump indoors if possible.
