2. Components

The KINGrinder P0 consists of the following main components:

  • Grinder Body: The main housing containing the burr assembly.

  • Catch Cup: Bottom container for collecting ground coffee.

3. Configuració

  1. Desembalar: Traieu amb cura tots els components de l'embalatge.
  2. Neteja inicial: Before first use, wipe down all parts with a dry cloth or use the included brush to remove any manufacturing dust. The grinder is not designed for wet cleaning.
  3. Muntar el mànec: Attach the grinding handle to the top shaft of the grinder. Ensure it is securely fitted.
  4. Ajustar la mida de la mòlta: Refer to Section 4.1 for instructions on adjusting the grind size.

4. Funcionament

4.1 Ajust de la mida de la mòlta

The KINGrinder P0 features a stepped adjustment mechanism. To change the grind size:

  1. Ensure the catch cup is removed.
  2. Locate the adjustment dial at the bottom of the burr assembly.
  3. Turn the dial clockwise for a finer grind and counter-clockwise for a coarser grind. Each click represents a 0.0333mm change in particle size. The grinder offers 30 clicks per full rotation.
  4. Reattach the catch cup once the desired setting is selected.

4.2 Recommended Grind Settings (Approximate)

The following are approximate starting points for various brewing methods. Fine-tuning may be required based on your specific beans and preference:

  • Moka Pot / AeroPress: Approximately 20 clicks from the finest setting.
  • Abocar per sobre: Approximately 22-30 clicks from the finest setting.
  • Premsa francesa: Approximately 35-40 clicks from the finest setting.

4.3 Procés de mòlta

  1. Carrega els mongetes: Open the top lid and pour up to 20g of whole coffee beans into the grinder chamber.
  2. Enganxa la nansa: Ensure the handle is securely attached to the grinder shaft.
  3. Triturar: Hold the grinder body firmly and turn the handle clockwise to begin grinding. Continue until all beans have passed through the burrs.
  4. Recollir terrenys: Unscrew the catch cup from the bottom of the grinder to retrieve your freshly ground coffee.

5. Manteniment i Neteja

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your KINGrinder P0.

  1. Desmuntatge: The grinder can be easily disassembled without tools. Simply unscrew the catch cup, then carefully remove the burr assembly components.
  2. Neteja: Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any residual coffee grounds from the burrs and internal components. Avoid using water or harsh detergents, as this can damage the burrs and internal mechanisms.
  3. Assecat: Assegureu-vos que totes les peces estiguin completament seques abans de tornar a muntar.
  4. Remuntatge: Reassemble the components in reverse order of disassembly.

6. Solució De Problemes

  • Electricitat estàtica: If ground coffee clings to the catch cup due to static, a small amount of water (a single drop) can be added to the whole beans before grinding. This technique, known as the Ross Droplet Technique (RDT), can significantly reduce static.
  • Mòlta inconsistent: Ensure the adjustment dial is set correctly and securely. If the burr assembly feels loose, re-check the assembly steps.
  • Difficulty Grinding: If grinding becomes difficult, check for foreign objects in the burr chamber. Ensure beans are not excessively oily, which can cause clogging.
