Configuració

1. Neteja inicial

Before first use, disassemble the jug and wash all parts (except the digital BRITA Memo indicator) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. The jug is dishwasher-safe, but the BRITA Memo should be removed before placing the lid in the dishwasher.

2. Preparing the MAXTRA PRO Filter Cartridge

1. Remove the MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge from its protective packaging.
2. Submerge the filter cartridge in cold water and gently shake it to remove any air bubbles. This helps to ensure proper filtration.

3. Assembling the Jug

1. Insert the prepared MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge into the funnel of the jug. Push it down firmly until it clicks into place.
2. Place the funnel with the filter into the jug.
3. Attach the lid to the jug, ensuring the BRITA Memo is securely in place.

Funcionament

1. Filling the Jug

Open the flip-lid on the top of the jug. Hold the jug under a cold water tap and fill the funnel with water. The water will slowly filter through the MAXTRA PRO cartridge into the main reservoir of the jug. Do not overfill beyond the maximum fill line.

2. Filtering Water

The first two fillings of filtered water should be discarded or used for watering plants. This primes the filter and removes any loose carbon particles. From the third filling onwards, the filtered water is ready for consumption.

3. Using the BRITA Memo Digital Indicator

The BRITA Memo on the lid tracks the filter's lifespan. Press and hold the START button on the BRITA Memo until all four bars appear and flash twice. This indicates the filter life has been reset. One bar will disappear each week, indicating the remaining filter life. When all bars disappear and the arrow flashes, it's time to replace the filter cartridge.

Manteniment

1. Cleaning the Jug

Regularly clean your BRITA Marella jug. All parts, except the BRITA Memo, are dishwasher-safe (max 50°C). For manual cleaning, use warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

For optimal performance, replace the MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge every 4 weeks or after filtering approximately 150 liters of water, whichever comes first. The BRITA Memo will indicate when a replacement is due.

1. Remove the lid and lift out the funnel with the used filter cartridge.
2. Remove the old filter cartridge from the funnel. Dispose of it responsibly.
3. Prepare a new MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge as described in the "Setup" section (submerge and shake).
4. Insert the new filter into the funnel until it clicks into place.
5. Reassemble the jug and reset the BRITA Memo by pressing and holding the START button until all bars flash.
6. Filter and discard the first two fillings of water with the new cartridge.
