Please read and understand all safety warnings before operating the pump. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or death.
- Always disconnect power before servicing or moving the pump.
- Do not lift the pump by its power cord or float switch cable. Always use the handle or a sturdy rope attached to the handle.
- Ensure the pump is fully immersed in water when operating to prevent overheating.
- This sewage pump is designed for water only. Do not use it for flammable, explosive, or corrosive liquids such as oil, gasoline, kerosene, or ethanol.
- Do not override the float switch to force the pump to work in low water levels, as this can damage the motor and shaft seal.
- When a check valve is used, drill a relief hole (1/8" or 3/16" in diameter) in the discharge pipe between the pump and the check valve to prevent airlock.

- Prepare the Discharge Pipe: Connect the PVC pipe to the pump's 2-inch NPT discharge outlet using appropriate glue and Teflon tape for a secure, watertight seal.
- Drill Airlock Relief Hole: If using a check valve, drill a 3/16-inch diameter relief hole in the discharge pipe between the pump and the check valve. This prevents air from becoming trapped, which can cause the pump to run dry.
